Best overall performance of the season. Thought Sema was an unsung hero tonight. All the fight, belief and commitment that was lacking at the weekend.
I thought the mighty Norwich were going to destroy us and Brentford, who drew YET AGAIN, were going to steam up behind us? Great win.
Superb performance from all. Totally denied Norwich the space and time to play and in all honesty Gosling could have had a hat trick. The same level of performance and commitment in the next three games should see us home and hosed possibly by the weekend and the behind the scenes preparation can start for the PL. Gray though what a duffer. Sarr showing his immense quality again.
Great win. This sums up the championship. Any result is possible. Its all about matching up well against the opposition and then performing on the day.
What a performance!! Was certain we were going to bottle based on recent performances, not anymore!!! GET INNNN!
Good performance. Win thoroughly deserved. Xisco promised we'd see a better Watford tonight, and he and the players delivered. Winning the title, bizarrely, not completely out of reach. Norwich have QPR away, Reading at home and Barnsley away to go, none of them easy games right now. If they are already on the beach we might somehow manage to sneak it, should we continue to play like we did today. Likely? No. But then, beating Norwich at home wasn't supposed to be likely either.
Can someone with IT skills conjure up a gif of Andre Gray shushing the bedwetters please. All jokes aside get in!
Excellent game that was, great advert for the championship (even though neither teams will be in it for at least a season).
And yet another double over the Canaries who barring a complete slump will be crowned champions. Shame that we threw needless points away and had a slowish start otherwise the title could well be ours. Deep clouds of depression at the Griffin Grapevine right now. The end is nigh for them.
Unfortunately it could conceivably end up costing us the title - we'd only be 2 points behind Norwich if we'd have beaten the scum. Hopefully it won't come down to that or they'll gloat about it forever.
When we kicked off against Norwich on Boxing Day, none of us had a clue who Xisco was. Predictably his appointment got much criticism here, on Twitter and elsewhere. A few posters here said he would be on his way after his first few matches. Before he’d even sat in the dugout. He won that day, and now four months later he’s beaten the same opponents, the same league leaders. And in between he’s won 14 other matches, to take us from fading play off contenders to the verge of automatic promotion. What a wonderful appointment he has been. Saturday was a horrible blip. But as with life, it’s how you bounce back from setback that matters most.
If we c**k it up from here, I'll become a full signed up member to the European Super League, even if there are no clubs left in it.
Great to see Troy there telling the boys what to do and masterminding the win. How would we do without him.
I have been confident about winning this fixture for weeks. We are the best team in the league by a mile and the only reason why we haven’t walked away with the title already is down to our scrappy start under Ivic. We were absolutely unplayable tonight. So many imperious performances from across the board. Sarr was running riot, Sierralta is concrete and most importantly is the spirit and togetherness that has been instilled into everyone of them by Munoz. We are a team that believes in each other again. The players putting their bodies on the line, the celebrations, the passion for the shirt has been brought back for the first time in years and that’s what was missing in the premier league for large parts. It was painful watching the likes of Peyrera bottling every challenge and others letting the opposition run rings around them without a care in the world. I couldn’t bare coming on here after the Luton game, but I wasn’t that devastated. It was a pub match, the pitch was the worst iv seen in god knows how long and it was just a tacky little fixture that was no reflection on our ability. Honestly imagine going to KR every week and paying to watch that team? We are going up, there’s no doubt.
Absolutely superb all round. That was a performance with heart, quality, intelligence and grit. My only complaint is we should have out it to bed much earlier and saved us all some stress. I struggle to remember a more important, impressive performance in recent seasons, considering what that result means. That's a Watford team we can be proud of.
Bugger!! My prediction was off, again.. What can l say to the elite members? Watford turned up, great performance and got the result all Watford fans wanted. I eat my hat..... Off to do the euro millions . I'm sure l am going to win on Friday. Salut...
Excellent tonight - best 90 mins of the season. Players all performed, Xisco got it spot on tactically too. COYHs
******* hell, what a win! Proud of the lads, fully deserved, and all that without a few key players! What is it, 3 points away from sealing the deal?
GET IN!!!! Norwich cannot seem to be able to beat us anymore. Played some great stuff especially first half, deserved to win. Gozzers should of buried that header first half, we had a clear penalty turned down and Sarr was unlucky too. Much, much better than Saturday - we needed that after such a no show at the weekend. Well done boys and Xisco. Surely we are almost there now, Brentford stumble again - Swan Dive (so far) being held at home. We won't win the title - I think Norwich were pretty poor overall. but full credit to how we handled the game. It was certainly three points we needed more than they did. Thank you muff for Gozzers. That might be the goal that takes us up, never know. Worked really hard tonight, pressed well and defended in numbers. Our corners are still utter crap though - we really need to improve on our set pieces especially in the Premiership (if we end up there). Csn't really think of anything else to put - if QPR can hold Swan Dive it could be a very good night. Well done boys - much better tonight - we would of beaten Lootown had we played tbat well. Confidence wasn't lost, Millwall next - tough game again. Three points there and we can put the champaine on ice.
