I think he’d be an upgrade to what we have right now, plus he’s free. Win, win.

“Free” ticks a box but he was slow, awkward and immobile when he played for Spurs a few years ago. Would be like playing with 10 men when we don’t have the ball.

  6. If he's here for a year to give Cucho and JP time to get to speed with the PL, and not unduly pressurise them into having to deliver from the off, then it sounds like a reasonable plan to me.

6 league goals since 2017, absolutely useless, can barely move, will turn 37 during next season...

If we got promoted and our starting forwards next season were Llorente, JP and Cucho, then we'd be relegated again long before anyone would have the "time to get to speed" with the division.

Makes perfect sense unfortunately, next season is all about penny-pinching whatever division we're in.

  10. If we started with just Rod Hull and Emu as just our forward line we would also be relegated faster than a tart can drop her draws. Luckily neither will be the case. I'd expect us to have 4 or 5 strikers.

No has this carp started already. Not wanted at all, yes we need a central striker next season but not a 36-37 year old.

Of course you would. Told us all that Suarez and Estupinan would be here this season even when it was obvious they were on their way.

Great competition for Deeney. Hopefully we go straight in with the five year contract on this one.

A very good English-style centre forward at Swansea, but looked over the hill at Spurs. In any case, haven't we moved our playing style away from a traditional English centre forwad, even if he is Spanish?

Llorente has all the hallmarks of being next seasons Murray if we get him. Pointless signing.

If we can move on Deeney/Gray/Perica/Success etc. then would definitely take this guy in the squad, despite his best days being behind him he'd provide something different up top and an option off the bench when we inevitably need to go long at times

If we can't move on the current lot then I would say no, we can't afford more average attackers to add to the pile

    Yes, it's a nightmare prospect.

I thought we were meant to be learning from our mistakes, so why persevere with more useless has-beens in such an important position?!

He'll be a waste of a squad place.

A bag of Wotsits would provide something different up top.

Heck, I'd probably even rather we signed Joe friggin' Pigott - at least he can move.

If we're looking for a striker in this mould, Kieffer Moore would be a very good option - wouldn't be cheap but I don't think he would cost crazy money either

It's only 2 years ago...... that it was 2 years since he was a decent striker. 6 goals in last 4 years per Wiki.

Would instantly become our next best striker after Pedro. I know that doesn't exactly say much, the other 'strikers' in the squad are absolutely rancid.

Llorente has the unique ability to make Deeney look like Usain Bolt. At 36 and with a 1 in 7 ratio fits the model.

Daft - Usain Bolt at 37 would not keep up with Sarr. What is point having a striker that is just crossing halfway line when Sarr is ready to cross?
