Beat Reading Friday and that’s the end of it I reckon.

A bad point becomes a good point.

That table is mental now, Barnsley could get ahead of both of them and Reading only 4 points behind.

I think the Reading game is going to be mega tough considering their incentives.

So out of the Easter weekend’s two games we end up 4pts up on Swansea, 2pts on Brentford and par with Norwich. Great set of results.

Crikey. Could only need 2 more wins from 6 at this rate. Barnsley for 3rd place and Brentford, Muff and Reading for the other three

Currently Brentford are closer to dropping out of the play off places than they are of catching us...

I think the league is set in stone. Always thought our point against Boro was a decent one, the results that followed have ensured that.

Bore draw. Four in a row. Didn't lose any lead in the end, but what a chance it would of been to pull a bit more clear. Still, they aren't winning so it's another game week gone closer to promotion.

What a great result for us that. I was fearing a last minute winner for Brentford there to galvanise some kind of winning run. Not to be though. If we **** it up from here, we deserve everything we get in terms of misery.

    Well done Brum :D

Brentford, whilst not as awful as Swansea, yet again look a million miles away from a side which is suddenly going to string together 5 or 6 wins

Brentford player reactions at the end were telling, they looked resigned to the playoffs

Absolutely splendid to see Brentford bottling it considering how everyone was creaming over them earlier in the season, even some of our own fans!

    Friday is massive.

Last 4 games, Brentford won 4 points and Swansea nil points as Terry Wogan might have said.

I am starting to have a soft spot for Birmingham they beat Swansea last week and now get a result against Brentford when we needed it.

We could do with beating Reading and Luton to give ourselves a nice cushion before those final four, then we won’t have to worry about what happens against any of the better teams and have Millwall left to get some more points off.

Brentford players flat out dejected at the end. They know. We draw every game until the end of the season and we're up.

Brentford away at PNE at the weekend, if they cant beat Blues at home they will struggle there for sure.

[IMG]My boss at work is a Blues fan, given the last two results they’ve had I’ll be standing him a few pints when we can eventually have a night out...

Looks like it’s not us who are looking over their shoulders. One of Swansea or Brentford could easily drop out at this rate.

When the season is complete, I sense we will all be able to look back more calmly and realise our promotion was all but clinched when Masina shocked us all with that injury time free kick at Cardiff.

I stand by my often expressed views of late that a lot of people are worrying unnecessarily and in doing so are failing to properly savour and enjoy what’s shaping up nicely to be one of the best few months in our club’s history.

While we are unbeaten in seven matches, Brentford haven’t won in four, Swansea have imploded and nobody else really matters.

Games in hand or easier looking fixtures mean little if those chasing us can’t string any wins together.

Yes we may still have a little wobble before it’s all done and dusted, but we can afford one or two anyway thanks to our terrific run since February,

Keep the faith everybody, believe in our
team and enjoy every second of this brilliant recent transformation, because we won’t have it so good again for quite a while i suspect.

Ivic got the sack for far better form than Thomas Frank has overseen recently.

If we happen to take three points of Brentford it will be extremely unlikely they will overtake us! However after the next two games hopefully we won’t even have to worry about that match!

To be honest I dont see Brentford putting a run together, they might not even win their game in hand. Brentford have took 4 points not won in their last 4 against teams currently 16th, 18th, 19th and 21st.

I very purposefully did not look once at the Brentford score until my brother texted me saying 'great result' - pretty pleased with the decision, and even more so with the result. Makes our 4 points more valuable by comparison, although in fantasy land I can't help but wonder how we would be looking and thinking had we managed to hold on. Still, if we go and win on Friday night, we have to be thinking we're almost in the promised land. And wouldn't it be great if we could put down some kind of marker ourselves as Norwich have done here tonight (not that I'm expecting six goals, or even close).

The Sky broadcast of the Norwich game has also produced two things of note for me in the past few minutes - firstly, that after this game the Canaries will only need 5 more points to guarantee automatics, which they're presumably very capable of getting in the two games between now and playing us, and secondly, a decision to cut to a split screen window-in-window feed from the end of the Brentford game, with one of their defenders sitting looking dejected on the turf as though they had just been relegated. A tad overwrought from the football broadcasting overlords, but still, that can't speak to amazing things about the mentality and collective feeling in the Brentford dressing room at this point...
