Great win! Will take that all day. Good to get some rest for the players as well. Looking forward to watching this game back.

One game left before the international break. Hopefully no new manager bounce on Saturday against Birmingham. They can do that tomorrow against Reading.

You can tell that Cardiff win was huge!

The players and staff are truly in this together!

Early in the second half he went down on his haunches and then limped off according to Guy Havard the Sky commentator/witterer.
A pal has said he didm't notice,he was watching on Hive,so hopefully a precaution.

Just seen their penalty. That’s possibly one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen

Wouldn’t be the end of the world if he were to be injured over the international break...

he was crouching down for a couple of mins before he went off , he walked off and wasn’t rolling around in agony which is good, but he isn’t the type of player to want to be substituted so was obviously something wrong

We have started to look like a team recently relegated from the prem playing inferior teams - we just pissed the first half of the season up the wall

this is true, and very frustrating , if we played in the first half of the season like we are now we would probably already have been promoted

I thought Gray deliberately passing the ball off their goalkeeper and bouncing it into Goslings path was a world class assist

I'm not saying I think Gray is the answer, or a good attacker. I'm just commenting on tonight. He made some howlers but also did some good things tonight. Which in my mind means he wasn't toilet. I've seen a lot worse than performances than Gray tonight.

Hopefully we approach Saturday's game in the same professional manner. We also have 24 hours more rest than Brum.

Ah, thanks for posting that. Sudden rush of childhood memories seeing the Wembley ball. Had its own unique rubbery smell too. Unless I'm confusing it with the spacehopper

What was the "good" that he did? Once again missed another sitter which luckily the keeper palmed to Gosling, passed the ball to absolutely no one and out of play a couple of times and then skied another sitter out of the ground from about 5 yards out. I'm still not sure how he physically managed that.

Every time he comes on it's genuinely just cringeworthy to watch. His incompetence is truly mind-blowing. His level of pure ability genuinely wouldn't look out of play in a Sunday league match.

Fantastic win, especially given results elsewhere. I know that you can only really focus on yourselves most of the time but it does feel good knowing Swansea lost and Brentford dropped what could turn out to be a huge 2 points. Bachmann was much improved in commanding the box and made a good penalty save to add to that. Troost-Ekong could do with a rest. He's like Kabasele- you feel there's always something waiting to happen. I do think he's been a good signing as he is a commanding and strong centre-half, but lately, there have been a few too many errors creeping in.

On the whole, not a great deal to moan about though. Zinckernagel was immense, you can see the talent in that footballer. Took him a while to get up to speed (as was expected) but now he seems comfortable and looks a real asset. Sarr, Sema and Pedro all did their bit, Sarr's goal was really well taken from a rather difficult angle. All in all, a pleasant 3 points and onto Saturday!!

Also, Kiko seems to get faster every game. Unreal pace

    Yep.!
January : improved formation / form.
February : we look like a team.
March : no more bum clenching, we add goals to our armour.
April : going to be a hell of a ride but we now got team spirit, players playing well, teams won't want to play us.
I still say Zinc will be a big part of our run, esp his setting up of decent goal opportunities.!
(what a genius GP is, keeping us well under the radar for 4 months, waiting for the momentum to unleash the 'Orns.!!!!).

Guy Havard sounds like an upper-crust ‘tec from the early 70s, like Raffles or Adam Adamant - large scotches at 11 a.m. whilst wearing a purple dressing-gown, solving cases without leaving the library

    Was Adam Adamant Gerald Harper?
I used to like him on Capital on Sundays.
My brother did a great impression of him.

Can't believe that Sierralta is only 23, good many years before CBs are meant to be in their prime... he's been easily the most pleasantly surprising thing about this season for me
