I had the AZ one and felt fine apart from a sore arm where the missus punched me.

A colleague had one on Monday, and is quite bad and she is a leftie. Maybe it is all part of the conspiracy, it only affects lefties?

It's the Britishness of the vaccine causing a reaction. No doubt about it.

I had the Astra Zeneca jab yesterday morning. Sore arm today and a headache, but the latter might just have been down to the red wine last night.

Fine , but some minor side effects that involved wearing excessively baggy trousers , Church’s brogues and a predilection to mild recreational homosexuality.

Well, I had a bit of a sore arm the day after and felt a bit heady. After our felling of forest, I retired to lie down and listen to the football on the radio (ha!). It was dark when I woke up...

But probably the worst side effect has been a crippling attack of chronic flatulence.

Yes, admittedly, there are many other things which also give me regular attacks of debilitating flatulence. It must be an allergy I reckon. I should have a blue badge.

Had the Pfizer on Sunday, the side effects are troubling. Having been watching oompah bands on U Tube most of this morning, and insatiable cravings for Bratwurst and Erdinger. Fear going to sleep now in case of erotic dreams involving Merkel

Had the AZ on Saturday. Only very minor effects experienced: about 15 minutes of feeling really cold soon after going to bed, followed by feeling very hot for the next hour or so, followed by occasional stomach cramps for a few hours. And also feeling noticeably more tired by about 9.30pm for about 3 days. Since then, absolutely fine.

That's not a good photo but I think she was quite foxy in her youth:

There's rumour that a copy of the 1st photo was blutacked onto a door at Brize Norton once when she flew in. She took it down, stared at it, began giggling and muttered something that loosely translates as "Those were the days" before pinning it back on the door...

Felt pretty rough for last 24 hrs esp overnight. Cracking headache and temperature. Pretty much gone now. To be expected given I'd had the virus before so had some resistance already pre vaccination.

Shorthand for the Pfizer BioNTech Covid 19 vaccine, created by BioNTech at its Mainz laboratory. As Mainz is Watford’s German twin town, I suppose we can take credit.

And of course Pfizer was founded by two German migrants to the USA

    No.

Blood clots following vaccination is no more common than in the general population normally.

Blood clots are common. There is no link to vaccines.
This is stupid scaremongering with no basis in reality... again.

30 of the 5 million people vaccinated with AZ in Europe got a blood clot in the following days. Think about how many people get blood clots naturally in that time.

No I think they are being over cautious on the basis of very very very little evidence, which is understandable to an extent in context. There is also politics involved as AZ is seen as British. I don’t think they are doing the right thing by not vaccinating as many people as possible as soon as possible.

The facts are that this and all the vaccines are safe

the scaremongering is social media based with people posting things like “this vaccine is linked blood clots” with no medical understanding and people believing it

I’m pro EU but our continental cousins are shooting themselves in the foot if they don’t take every vaccine available, no matter the source. There will be unavoidable deaths otherwise. Peoples relatives will die, children will lose their parents. This should be above politics and petty nationalism. It’s awful. We are one human race for ****s sake.

there are many many NHS employees, Drs and nurses on this very forum even, your fellow fans and we are all unanimously saying these vaccines are safe and have it. We have had them. We aren’t being paid by the bogey man or Bill gates to say this we just want to stop seeing people dying each day.

I am tired of having to hear each working day and then
read out to team managers the number of people who have died due to Covid in the last 24 hours.

so people making stupid comments about blood clots or whatever else when they have no understanding makes me furious

    The irony here though:

Catching Covid DOES increase your risk of getting a blood clot.

I'm being really lazy but could you give some numbers highlighting the relative risks:

    OAZ: 30/5000000 = 0.0006%
    C19:?
    Normal life:?
