My boss is a muff ST holder (not that that means much right now i know), but he said "makes no sense for us to sell him.. not generally a starter but he always plays his socks off when he gets his chance". I think he'll do a reasonable job for us tbh.
Yes, will contribute more than Garner. Their forum suggests he'll be a solid cheap acquisition. Just imagine if we were selling a reserve to Muff....We'd be laughing our heads off at how they were signing our rejects. There's none of that on their forum which speaks volumes.
Tidy player. Comes with an immediate boost to his confidence also. He had moved up from 6th to 4th in the Championship. We might have a fan friendly rivalry with Muff, but they have a few decent players who for whatever reason are doing a DDT* moment. A bit like us, has quality but never seems to fully show it week in week out. *DeeneyDownsTools
But many of our fans don't care who the signing is, just the fact that he's a Watford signing is enough for them to criticise.
Yes, that's why Zinckernagel gets all those pelters, isn't it. We're constantly talking about how we wish he could play even less.
Well we need bodies and he will give his all. However the model between us and Muff is chalk and cheese. They are bringing in an up and coming player Pearson while we add another whose career is hardly going to improve, Missing out on younger players on the up has been a real bane in transfers domestically. Again a longish contract which means should his form and fitness drop off a cliff we will be saddled with him as a millstone.
His career is on the up. Has more left in the tank. Not a real kid but he has done his hard graft a little like Cathcart did when he left Manure and worked his way back to the top.
Yes fair enough, I am not sure about them signing Wilshire though not sure I would want him here given his injury worries and I expect his wages are high.
Wilshere is our model amigo. We had a lucky escape with him. Praying for Siliki to arrive tomorrow. Gilmour if possible. Jephcott too. Might make it a tolerable window.
The time for Pozzo to sell was the summer of the FA Cup Final. He's not going to sell and we're in for the long haul unfortunately. He's totally lost it.
That would be an excellent transfer window I will not be getting my hopes up though as I expect no one to come in. If we lose tomorrow and our only signings are Dan Gosling and Pochetinno's son this forum is going to be carnage.
Ah, the famous image of him with water bottle in hand. Who can forget that moment in Watford folklore?
He's only been here for a day, and it looks like he's already undergone the typical Watford player's 1-2 year journey: 1. "I'm here to work hard and push the team on" 2. "Why on earth is Deeney taking training?" 3. "What have I done?"
Having watched the welcome video he’s not going to be playing tonight. He talks about starting training middle of next week and will be available for the Coventry match.
Well I guess it’s a long hard trip to Watford from Bournemouth. Takes a lot out of a player . Or we just didn’t register on time?
He’s 31 today? What an idiot, if he’d delayed his signing until today Gino would’ve bunged him another two years on his deal.
