Demarai Gray anyone? Rodgers has said he's free to find a new club, out of contract in the summer so would probably be available for 4-5m. Would give us a bit more depth on the wing.
He's played 149 out of his 252 games on the left. But can also play on the right if Sarr gets injured.
Someone I thought would be a plausible Sarr replacement had he left over the summer. We really need some extra depth and creativity on the wing. We were interested in him when he left Birmingham for Leicester.
Barely scores goals, so fits the Ivic model. This with Winks and Saliba on loan guarantees a top six finish.
Why were the Barreca and Saliba threads locked just now? Barreca is only on loan at Fiorentina with an option to buy, and given that he has only played 17 minutes for them so far this season it seems unlikely they'll be taking up the purchase option.
Because that thread (and the Saliba one) were created pretty suspiciously. Both threads created two minutes apart by two new users (who both joined today and have never posted anything else) who both have a Latin style name followed by Declan as their username. The threads appeared out of nowhere too. Not sure if it is someone playing around or else a very sophisticated bot of some sort, but I don't think they are genuine threads.
Think this might be the Russians trialling some kind of new disinformation tactic on WfcForums before unleashing it into the world.
Apparently Man City are prepared to sell Jayden Braaf for around £8m (with a buy back clause) or possibly loan him out next month. He is an 18 year old Dutch left winger and their current U23 players player of the year whose talent has been compared favourably to Jadon Sancho's. However there has been a breakdown in communication between Braaf and City and he is currently not getting a game with the U23's even though he is fully fit. I'm not sure if he would want a permanent transfer to us, though we could live in hope. However, I don't see why a loan move to us until the end of the season might be something he could well be interested in, as I would imagine he would probably get a regular game with us.
Great on the ball but incredibly selfish and does no defensive work according to the scouts I know who have been discussing him recently!
I just want players who want to be here ... .who want to put a shift in every game, who are hungry and want to impress.... if that leads to them only being here 1-2 seasons i'll take that ..... I dont want any more mercenary players getting a pay day or those tha tare well past their best..... Theres plenty of talent on the Champ, 1st and 2nd Division that we could get ..... We need to stop being so arrogant in our recruitment - simple really
Do you reckon he'd be capable of scoring goals in the Championship already though? We're not too bad in defence, but we desperately need midfielders who can score.
Hard to gauge, I've got a selection of his goals here (sadly I can't get the international goals he's scored) - https://streamable.com/5oiza4 and it looks like he's a terror to defences This is his shot map for the last 21 games (G obviously goal, x is off target and filled circle is on target), I can't be bothered to add up the xG of each shot but it looks a good goal return for the number of shots taken, however I'd also say the amount of shots off target might suggest that he's not too clinical (in fact even in those goal compilation it took him a couple of shots to score on some occasions). Obviously jumping straight up the Championship from U18/U23 football is a huge change so it's very hard to gauge how that would translate into goals on the senior level but I'd expect a decent drop-off in goals. His dribbling ability looks top notch though, and IF he could could turn that into chance creation for others then it's likely he'd be a monster. Right now though I'd say it's a gamble.
Hmm, we already have too many inconsistent gambles in that area of the pitch in JP, Garner and Quina, maybe we should be targeting a bit more of a sure-thing if we want promotion this season. He does seem to have a pace and drive most of our current attacking players lack though.
Would definitely agree, looks a potential talent but isn't what we need currently, £8m is also too much of a gamble for us.
Yeah, he's exactly the sort of player that will go abroad, learn + tear it up and then come back to England in 3-4 years for a decent fee.
I'm thinking initially a loan deal for Braaf to the end of the season would best suit us and him if he is interested in coming to us at all. Then depending on how the loan goes and if we get promoted, maybe we could look to make his contract a permanent deal as part of what will be our obvious need to strengthen on our return to the top flight.
One of the favourites to sign jack Wilshire, how true but would be a Pozzo move for right price. I’d be excited then most likely let down as he flops Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With Brexit I thought it would make it much more difficult for players like him to join clubs in Europe given his age and lack of previous playing time?
Well we're going to need forward to replace Deeney or Gray. It's all dependant on which one Fat Sam decides on.
