At the very least a 14 day self-imposed quarantine and fined 2 weeks wages.

As he is injured won’t be any use anyway.

    Go easy on him, everybody.

Let us not forget Quina misplaced a pass at the weekend, and Geri was often quite wasteful in possession.

Can't be him, it's obviously a case of mistaken identity. The person in question is described as "Watford Ace", "footy star" and the "Watford frontman".

I have been a supporter of Andre up to now, but to do it once is very poor, to do it twice is gross stupidity!

Didn’t defend him the first time but did suggest we turn the other cheek and be forgiving for a stupid error. Everyone was finding there way in the world with what was happening so while I found it moronic, I was willing to hear him/them out and give them another chance.

Not now. I’ve defended the bloke for a long time for things he’s done outside of football and believe he’s atoned for certain errors. And I’ve defended him (as much as is possible) for his actual ability as a player.

But this is ridiculous now. Too far. Once is a mistake but to repeat it is being wilfully ignorant and knowingly negligent.

Deep down I don’t think he’s a bad bloke - but I can’t defend him on that basis anymore. Won’t shed a tear if he never plays for us again.

    A complete plank.

His injury may be short or long term but doing this again whilst 3 other squad members are either suffering from covid or self isolating is negligent.

They do that for part time Sunday league players !

I fear he has done this more than twice but just not been caught out.

Exactly. These are just the two occasions he's been caught; seems inevitable there have been other incidents.

I thought he could turn out to be an asset in this division. Turns out I was half right: he's an ass.

Can only hope this plum didn't come into the training ground the next day due to his injury. Otherwise won't everyone he's come into contact with there have to self isolate too?

Wishful thinking but would hope a second incident like this in quick succession would mean his contact could potentially be ripped up

He’s an absolute disgrace, on and off the pitch and the worst signing in this clubs history

A moron with a chip on his shoulder and an ego too big to accept that he’s disliked, not because of his race/former club, but because of his own ****** attitude and lack of footballing ability

Another good example set by this complete tool.

Surely he was warned last time by the club. I just want him out ASAP. Make an example out of him.

    I mean.....

Could we actually sack him for this? I understand that we won't, because he's an "asset", but he's injured, ****, and no one will ever want to buy him, so it's not as if we'd lose out!

Is it gross misconduct? Could be our get out clause to be rid of him! (Chance would be a fine thing, the ****)

Jesus H Christ, I can only hope he stayed away from everyone else. After a while I did draw a line under the first incident, but to do it a second time just smacks of extreme arrogance. I don't for a second think we will, but I wouldn't shed a tear if we rip his contract up now, in fact if it's at all possible to do that without incurring any costs, well, I suppose it's the best case scenario for us

I'm no employment law expert but probably couldn't argue against gross mis-conduct, suspect there would be something in contracts about bringing the club into disrepute or similar which having Watford 'Ace' breaking lockdown splashed all over The Sun would probably fall into as well.

They say £50k pw, his wages have been suggested to be as high as £70k pw by others I think. Let's face it, at the moment what would be a realistic transfer fee for him? £5m, £7m maybe? If he could be canned on a breach of contract the wages saving on two years contract remaining (?) would probably be a wash with any potential asset value we would achieve.

While I suspect even his most ardent supporters can’t defend him for this and surely can’t be bothered if he’s never seen again in a Watford shirt (I was one of them!) - I still really doubt when push comes to shove, that we have grounds for sacking him that would stand up in an employment tribunal. I suspect it would cost us a fortune and his lawyer would point to many many cases where members of the public have flouted the guidelines and been punished by way of fines but certainly not lost their jobs because of it. It’s easy to throw around the reasoning of ‘gross misconduct’ but I just don’t think it’d stick in reality.

I think it’s a case for the police to dole out the official punishment, not for his employer to make it ‘double jeopardy’.

The reality I think is that it would cost us a fortune to go down that route. Best bet would be to sideline him until January and take whatever you can get for him and let his misdemeanours be someone else’s problem.

I find it a bit of a storm in a teacup, half the country has broken lockdown rules. In this case it is stupid to get caught twice.

I think I'm starting to figure out why this guy can't control a football, he's clearly so incredibly dim witted that even basic motor functions take up too much of his brain capacity for him to concentrate on anything else.

Just imagine be so stupid that after already being caught once breaching lockdown rules, you do it again and don't tell people attending not to put it on social media. He makes Trigger look like Einstein.

    I'm sorry, I can't agree.

Every time one of our players flouts the rules he increases the risk of bringing covid into the club.

Gray may have been caught this time but for me that is not the point. The fact that it is at least a second offence shows complete disregard for the club, his fellow players and the fans.

The fact is that if he, or any Watford staff member, brings covid into the club it could be a real blow to our promotion prospects and our future.

He had his chance now he needs to go.

A lenient approach to this could result in lost lives.
How dense is he?We already have 3 players out because of covid.
I am not surprised he has done this again because the club has already shown this year how it pays the players to do nothing and discipline isn't high on the agenda.
Maximum fine and find out if he can be sacked.
I hope he's been reported to the police again.Perhaps they can help us get rid of this person.

Stopping him wages won’t scratch the surface. Hit his ego - make him clean boots for a month.
