The fade on it was incredible. He cut across it so it put him in on goal rather than down the channel. Best midfielder in the division.

When was the last time we beat Muff at the Vic? Not the 6-1 stuffing surely? I know we seem to draw with them a lot at home. I don't remember us beating them at home in the Prem.

Got some vicious sweve on the ball, I wonder if it's to do with the make of the balls, or whether it's a Quina thing, maybe he's been watching a lot of Ronaldo

Be better if he didn't swerve it straight down the keeper's throat...

In fairness he was unlucky, both strikes moved a lot and it was unfortunate their last move was towards Begovic.

Only as sub but Quina's best performance by a mile this season. Needed to wake up a bit and play in the right areas and certainly did that today. Had almost discounted him as an option but if he can do that some more will be a useful squad member.

Got to say I think there is something in that. I hate it , but when referees appear to be relying on the players' reactions to tell them whether something has happened or not, and when everybody else is acting up all the time, you have to do it too. Lots of well planned fake outrage. No more stiff upper lip nice team.

Those two attempts were along corridors between players and so it was difficult to score with them. But if he keeps lurking around just outside the penalty area and hitting them like that (powerful, accurate and with loads of 'movement') and from either foot, too, he will soon be troubling the score-keeper.
(Smug note: I've been saying this all along).
What I am less enthusiastic about is him helping out in defence.

While I do agree, you have to remember certain players have habit of getting sent off. Can you really see Deeney getting in a referee 's face over what needs to be a red card? I can see said referee cowaring in fright. Besides, do any referees actually play against and balanced game?

Blimey, just watched the part of Ivic's interview that someone mentioned on here. He's fuming! Ref didn't allow us to counter attack at the end but allowed Bournemouth to finish their move. I can't remember what the time was on the clock but this is always something that annoys me. It's supposed to be a minimum of x minutes added on. Bournemouth scored in the 7 minutes and I'm sure there were a few other stoppages but the ref blows straight away? Think Vlad is right to pissed off and topped off the worst refereeing display I've seen in a Watford game in a long long time. To miss one KMI with no VAR is forgivable. Billing's elbow, for example, is subjective as to his intent. But to miss FOUR KMIs in one game, all benefiting the same team is unforgivable.

Vlad's mini rant before he reigned himself in below (6:30 onwards)

Most animated I've ever seen him. Genuinely pissed off. Reaffirms the impression that we all have that he's generally quiet but with a really steely side and a winner. We're in good hands.

Agree. Think it gave a little insight into what he may be like in the dressing room after a **** first half. Genuinely a little scary.

He could possibly be the perfect mix of all our previous managers, early days still, of course however the signs are promising.

I thought our defensive structure was excellent, although we did look vulnerable at set pieces (as we have over the last few games) and we were punished for it. But with the exception of the goal, I can’t recall a single significant chance for Bournemouth. Cathcart I thought was very good. And Chalobah was as good as he’s been for us all season. Ngakia gave the ball away a fair amount, but wins it over and over again. Sarr obviously a constant outlet. Thought the subs were introduced at the right time, and Quina was much more like what we expecting him to be at the start of the season. Would love to see a Capoue-Chalobah-Quina midfield v Wycombe.

There’s been a lot of discussion in the media about the reduction of home advantage without crowds, and I think today was a really good example. I don’t think Kelly and Billing both end up on the pitch if the crowd is shouting “off off off” or booing refereeing decisions etc.

How Billing (who I have to say was, violent conduct aside, the Bournemouth player who most impressed me) never even received a yellow card is beyond me. To get away with that elbow on Perica and follow it up moments later with a stud raking on Cleverley is nasty. And it’s the ref’s job to prevent stuff like that by handing out cards. Obviously VAR has its issues, and I think its use for offside toenails is silly, but would be helpful for things the referee has missed/not seen clearly. Of course, it is only as good as those that use it.

Their manager tries to make excuses for the Muff thuggery and deliberate attempts to injure our players:

Re 'leg breaker' assault on Sarr after about 30 seconds.

"I’ve only just seen that challenge in slow motion and, I’ve got to be honest, on another day it could’ve been a red card,"

You didn't need to see it in slow motion. It was as clear as day at normal speed. Honest is the very last thing you and your disgusting Muffsters are. If you had GOT to be honest you'd tell us how you told your 'team' to leave a mark on Sarr early and that it was a clear and obvious red card yesterday, today and every day.

"But I think all the other ones, I think if you start blowing up and giving them, every decision that they wanted, then I think the ref would be forever stopping the game."

ALL the other ones. So you admit there were lots and lots of them then. Cases that could and should have been bookings or sendings off. But you think the ref did the right thing in taking no action on your reckless two footed tackles, obvious shirt pulling and hauling back and delilberate-looking elbows to the head because it would have "stopped the game". Right.

Chalobah has been slated on here as not good enough for most of this season, but he's been gradually improving and becoming more and more influential. He's certainly committing 100% to tackles and physicality and his defensive contribition yesterday was immense. Sky never stopped singing his praises and named him Man of the Match.

We all wanted to see Capoue yesterday, but even if Garner hadn't have had a yellow card, it was definitely him who had to make way rather than Nate. A really good game from Chalobah and I hope it continues.

Quite right too, I was shocked and stunned at the pure vitriol in that post.

Quite honestly, you've let the club down, you've let our supporters down, you've let football down.

    But more to the point...

    ...you've let yourself down!

Shoulder dislocations can be fairly simple, but can also be complex. If the arm was dislocated outwards it may be possible to just plop it back into place. Painful, but all that needs to happen is the soft tissue and attachments settle down.

If the dislocation was caused by the shoulder being smashed inwards both the humeral head of the arm and the shoulder glenoid may suffer damage that requires the latter rebuilding.

If the latter, with our medical team, it’s likely Perica could be back towards the end of Joe Biden’s first term in office.

    We're turning into Liverpool.

    WAH WAH WAH cheating bullies!

If you're weak you get bullied. It was ever thus.

As a wise man once said "You don't win anything with pussies". It explains our threadbare trophy cabinet.

Our team has always reflected our fanbase in this regard.

He was very god indeed second half, however, a lot of the good he did was was interception based stuff, first half he got caught in possession too much by being slow on the ball and thinking he had more time than he did. That’s the part he still needs to improve.

Maybe the imposters(not the Costello ones) do it now but the only Queen lineup worth listening to certainly wouldn't.

Except that if we committed the same fouls and gamesmanship we would have 7 men left on the pitch

We do need more steel, but it wouldn't stop the double standard

On reflection I feel much better about yesterday now. We scored a great goal and Bournemouth didn’t look like they would ever score. We comfortably held them at arms length and it’s only some inexplicable good fortune/bent officiating that enabled them to be in a position to scramble in an embarrassing equaliser in the 95th minutes.

They’ll probably be chuffed about getting a point, but they should really have a lot more concerns after that game than we will.

They’ll bully a lot of the lesser championship teams and pick up a lot of points, but on that showing we’re a much better side. I think if the roles were reversed and we were Bournemouth yesterday we’d all be very concerned at creating precisely nothing and having to commit red card tackles to stay in the game.
