We've got Sinclair who was on fire last night. Add Jorden Ibe and it's fast becoming a one horse race for the title.
Due to our financial black hole we had to factor in the value of getting him off our wage bill as well as his bad attitude towards the club. His attitude is the opposite of what Ivic is trying to build.
if we get anywhere near 40m-50m for him then we should sell him in my opinion. that money would go a long way to helping us out financially and might mean we can bring in some needed championship replacements.
Liverpool still need to offload a foreign squad spot before they can buy Sarr. It certainly won’t be Brewster out and Sarr in.
Many little clubs agree a sale and an immediate loan back for the season. I think Arsenal agreed this for a defender they bought last year. Might be a good option for Sarr to get games under his belt. He isn’t going to walk straight in to the Liverpool first 11
Sarr will literally be a bench player. The only way he starts games for Liverpool is in League Cup games, FA Cup games and whatever tinpot club they get in the group stages of the CL. Salah is their main RW. So unless he gets a serious injury, Sarr will at best start a maximum of 10 games for Liverpool. He will Get a 15/20min run out in about another 15 sub appearances. The kid rejected Barcelona because he wanted to play. It’s no different than Liverpool. He simply won’t play consistent football. He isn’t Liverpool’s number 1 target either, Thiago is. Liverpool’s second target is a CB. Sarr is literally their third choice. Depending on their outgoings, Sarr won’t be priority until those 2 positions are sorted first. Giaretta said it a week or so ago. There is a lot of noises coming out, but nothing in it (paraphrased edition). I fully believe he was talking about Sarr. The kid himself has stated that he is happy to stay at watford and help get Watford back to the Prem. He is not actively looking to leave. The kid isn’t kicking up a fuss so we literally have no need to sell him. I’m not saying he is staying, personally I don’t think he will, which I will be gutted about, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he does stay. Like Leventhal said, if he starts any of our next 3 games then that will be a good sign he’s sticking around. If he doesn’t, then the club are trying to sell him.
According to the daily fail liverpool are making their move for thiago from bayern due to having funds from brewsters sale. no mention of sarr.
Liverpool ‘on the verge’ of signing Thiago according to The Athletic in an ‘exclusive’. They swapped Lovren out for the Greek LB they signed - and Thiago is taking Pedro Chirivella’s spot. So they are still full on overseas places. Plus Klopp was on SSN last night saying they needed a CB to replace Lovren and was eulogising about Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott. I’d be really quite surprised if they bought Sarr in this window. I think a bigger worry is Dortmund/United’s dealings personally.
Bid accepted from Sheffield United according to reports - Liverpool willing to sell as long as they get some sort of future option on him. Personally think Sheff Utd will massively struggle this season - really think there would be better moves he could make.
I've got this nagging feeling it will be Man Utd. But good research on the overseas players at Liverpool. I never retake that into consideration.
Hopefully this is good news for us. However, it wouldn't surprise me if someone like Xherdan Shaqiri left looking for more regular game time, freeing up an overseas spot.
That will depend on Sancho If United get him - Dortmund will bid for Sarr If they don't United will But - i suspect they will all play their cards so tightly and late that it will be Jan
No chance Liverpool spend another £40m in this window in my opinion after Thiago. I also don't think United would spend that much on Sarr. They're far too worried about the commercial side of things and a £40m signing for them has to tick a lot of boxes in terms of sponsors and engagements, hence why they're after Sancho.
My thought is, that if United wanted Sancbo he would already be there. It seems to of been going on for ages.
Would Sarr go to Germany just a year after going to England? Probably hasn't mastered English yet, mastering German would be another challenge
We've just got to pray that Salah, Mané and Firmino stay fit for another month and Liverpool win every game so they don't sniff around.
They want him. They just aren’t prepared to pay for him. In their case, it’s a shame Sancho no longer plays for us as I’m sure Gino would give them a cracking little deal...
