If your role models are footballers, singers, actors or so called celebrities then you must be in a bad way. If anyone is outraged by this then they need to look at themselves and think if they have ever done anything wrong in their lives.

As for the publicity and how it affects the club, it actually shows we have moved onto bigger things. I have no idea who the Luton captain is but would a story about him leaving his wife even make the local rag? All publicity for the club is good publicity. Someone thinks a story about the Watford captain is worthy of becoming front page news and that is good enough for me.

 

The horizontal jogging fitness regime introduced in the close season clearly helped in upping his game.

Whoa; so much to criticise here. I'll just stick to defending myself: The Sun is acknowledged to have a reading age of around 12-14 years. Not high, but double your claim. Criticising it for its reading age is a bit much when you can't spell 'seriously' or use the latinate adverb 'sic' correctly. A large chunk of its readership is supposed to be 'older, London-based males'. Heaping generalisation upon generalisation, most of London famously voted Remain. So maybe Sun readers voted leave, maybe they didn't. Don't for a moment think I'm defending the Sun - it's a scurrilous rag, or it was the last time I looked at one.
However, I voted for Brexit, and I'm damned if I want you to casually misrepresent and insult me. You don't know why I voted for leaving, so don't pretend to yourself that you do.

I was tempted to read further, but if the headline describes him as a Priemier League Ace, the rest of the piece is probably utter bollox too.
