Yes.....these are tough games. West Ham have got United. Bournemouth have got City, although Villa don't play anyone that looks like a nailed on defeat, they are 4 points behind, which is a lot when you only have 3 games left.
Villa lose to Everton, Bournemouth lose to Saints and we get a point from either West Ham or Arsenal = we almost certainly stay up Very plausible set of results, just have to hope they actually come to fruition!
Leicester have been in terrible form and given up a 14 point lead on the CL places. Southampton are currently one of the in form teams in the league, and city are city... who incidentally Southampton recently beat.
I see what you are saying however Leicester is 13th in the form table for the second half of the season, different thing really against Man City at The Etihad. I actually think Southampton are one of the teams you wouldn't want a must-win game against at the minute.
I was half joking, but trying to predict results at the end of a season is tricky at the best of times. Even half way through a game in this case. Add in the lack of crowds and the change that brings, plus the tiredness of players after a long break and then 2 games per week every week... I am not claiming I can work out any results anymore. Except that we'll lose to Man City of course.
Yeah we definitely will do that and lets pray Bournemouth will to, I read earlier not looked it up yet that Manchester City have a 17-0 aggregate from their four home games since the restart
I don't like any other football clubs in this country bar Barnet and they are so tiddly poo as not to count. All of the others I hold in differing degrees of dislike, depending on our circumstances and recent history. I think this is usual behaviour for any neurotic, tribal, indoctrinated half wit such as myself!
It's hard to be optimistic when you're having a bad season. But at this stage of the season points on the board is better than difficulty of matches left. Not saying we are staying up, but we are in the best position out of the 3 of us scrapping it out.
With our defence, saying we wont concede is a brave prediction. I is hoping we keep it down to 1 and we get 1 ourselves thus a 1-1 draw.
The Alberta Hornets have their first golf tournament on Saturday. Are we going to be happy hornets or crying and making more water features on the course ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Arsenal is a complete lucky dip, 4-1 either way honestly wouldn’t surprise me. They’ll have absolutely nothing to play for and even when they did they were liable to implode in the odd game. Equally man for man they’re obviously better than us.
Well, if the worst does happen, then trips to the kennel and Adams Park behind closed doors would be interesting.
I'm worried that the whole season might now come down to how many goals us and Bournemouth ship against Man City I think our best result to date in the Prem v City was that 2-1 defeat
They will still win but guess Man City will rest a few tonight with the FA cup semi in mind. Ofcouse those coming in won't be too shabby !
They had that weird result against Southampton but have demolished 2 teams since then. Think you're right, they'll probably win but who knows. Honestly can't see Muff getting another point, handed that win on a plate by Leicester.
If City have anything about them they'll let us win. We're the easiest 6 points a year and nice GD boost for them without fail. Not to mention giving them uncontested FA Cups.
Good point. Pep basically told them not to score anymore goals against us in the cup and he had his head in his hands when they didn’t listen. What did they then do? Spank us 8-0 in the league. He definitely owes us one.
True but if we turn them over Friday it's game on. We witnessed at Bournemouth how stupid results can happen. Sneak a win against the hammers and I believe that will move us above Brighton too. The blessing I see is that Southampton are turning up and giving their all in every game. So I still believe Bournemouth are going to be a minimum of three behind us come the final game.
Problem is, confidence is a funny thing. Pre-Leicester Bournemouth would've been a good bet for not another point but all of a sudden, they'll think they have a chance of getting out of it, regardless of how much a gift that game was. People saying they haven't become a better team overnight underestimate the effect that confidence can have. Solanke has probably been the worst striker in the league for the last season, yet he's now scored twice. I'm sure he'll revert to type soon enough but a very brief purple patch might be all he needs to save them. Really worried that City will rest players ahead of their semi final at the weekend and Bournemouth will pick up an unexpected result.
Buzzing for the City game. Our recent record against them: Won 0, drawn 0, lost 10, scored 4, conceded 39.
