Mahrez showing Sarr what he needs to do to Taylor on Thursday. Glad VAR caught Mee’s dirty tackle on Aguero too. I thought in real time it could be a pen and wasn’t surprised VAR reviewed and gave it. Studs on top of the foot. Naughty.
I know it's City but Burnley look poor. What with their injury crisis and us having a few extra days rest, we really need to go and beat them.
Dyche is such a comedy whinger. Obviously he could've named more people from the squad or the u23s but he'd rather make a point and only name seven subs with two of them being keepers. Much like when he's always railing against diving despite Ashley Barnes being one of the very worst divers in the whole league, or demanding that M'Baye Niang be sent off for celebrating. For all his gruff, I'm an English fair play merchant nonsense, he's actually far worse at gamesmanship, cheating and moaning than almost any other manager in the league.
City getting the softest of penalties only a top side get. Had that been Watford it would have been glossed over for sure.
Yes it was soft. Typical VAR type penalty really. No one would have complained had it not been given really.
He's only played about half an hour for us lol, coming on when we want to shut up shop, can't really hold it against him for not producing anything going forward. Possibly our quickest option down that wing. I know Welbeck is a crock, but we do need him, he's another option out wide, and God forbid if Deeney gets injured and Gray has to go it alone up top
A small aeroplane has just flown over the Etihad with the message "White lives matter Burnley" . Dear oh dear. Ignorance at its very finest! How embarrassing.
1-0 Burnley on Thursday. They are taking a hammering from City so they will play a low block we won't be able to break down. McNeil will do us on the counter.
Yes. Because it's not white people being killed unjustly in the US. Or suffering racism in the UK. Why would white people in the UK be protesting? Are they being disproportionately stopped and searched this week? I think not.
Not actually true US cops kill as white people than they do black people, with hispanics a close 3rd But don't let facts get in the way of a good story
How many accused of passing a fake note? Not exactly violent crime. What's the proportion of black people in the US by the way? Demographics innit. Don't let your supposed facts get in the way of actual injustice.
And you know the white deaths are justified, and the hispanic ones aren't worth even mentioning, whereas none of the black ones are justified because...? Deaths per 100 'innit' Don't let facts get in the way of a good story
Proportionally not even f*cking close m8ey, but I'm sure it's just that you weren't aware of that, having only heard the remark you made in passing and not yet looked into it properly. https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallm...cans-disproportionately-affected-infographic/
So you're ok with the George Floyd killing? And you think there's no racism against black people in the US or the UK? Riiiight https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...george-floyd-stereotyped-and-judged-by-police
See there you go making the most ridiculous leap in assumption to try and grab some moral high ground When did I say I was okay with the death of George Floyd?
Yes. And if you can't work out why, you are a knuckledragging racist ****. So we'll give you a few minutes to think about it.
you show me yours I'll show you mine https://www.kff.org/other/state-ind...0&sortModel={"colId":"Location","sort":"asc"} See the problem with stats matey is they can be cut to suit any argument you like
No. Just asking. But what exactly is your point? Why shouldn't people who are being treated unfairly because of their race protest? Read the André Gray article please.
If you really want to look in to it properly, these are the two most rigorous academic studies around on the issue: https://www.pnas.org/content/116/32/15877 https://scholar.harvard.edu/files/fryer/files/empirical_analysis_tables_figures.pdf Also: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/flames-from-false-narratives/
You mean this Andre Gray article? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/27/andre-gray-fa-charge-i-hate-lightys
The funny thing about this sentiment is that the full/original point of the slogan is not 'It's black lives that matter', but 'Black lives matter as well'. I'm not at all saying that you are doing this, first of all, but the reason that saying 'white lives matter' is both unnecessary and disingenuous is because it completely ignores the entire social context surrounding it, that affects black lives in a way that it doesn't white lives, and the effects of that context are something that's very easily proven statistically. People with a vested anti-BLM interest use it as a method of invalidating both the slogan and the movement, and as a form of dismissive misdirection. Fundamentally, when people say 'black lives matter', no one is saying anything about white lives; particularly not that they don't matter. They are in fact pretty directly saying that all lives matter.
