Ready to listen for your theory on which message is which on day one and how it correlates to messages on day 2 .
the whole point of the game is to come up with theories discuss them , then bin them lol.

 

Very hard to pick a lynching based on yesterdays play and todays messages. Obviously the wolf posted one of them but which one? Unless he's taking a huge risk then it's another name out of thin air.

What I'd like to know is why Moscow voted for Athens?

Fair point. My theory is that the first message today, and therefore the corresponding message from Day 1 are from the Wolf - purely on the wafer thin basis that I was protected by the Guardian last night, and so there seemed little risk in the Wolf throwing my name out as part of a pattern of confusion. I also wonder why I'd be viewed by the Seer, as I'd not really fallen under any suspicion on Day 1.

 

Athens said in a post that we should not be speculating or discussing the anonymous messages on day 1. I found this a bit suspicious. Why would we not discuss the only 2 notable things that happened on day 1?

If we all followed what Athens was suggesting we'd all just sit in silence and do nothing. In my opinion that helps evil more than good.

Admittedly, and I did say this yesterday that the reasoning was pretty crap. But it's all I had!

 

It probably means nothing but it does seem odd for the Seer (If it is the seer) to view you after being protected by the Guardian. Perhaps the Seer didn't bother reading the write up properly and then chose a city randomly?

 

It was a straight random pick between the two. Seems to be a strange over reaction to a situation that the vast majority all read as the same.

 

It could mean "Onward to the breach my friends" Which is from Henry Vth.

Which Ive heard is a good movie although I didnt see any of the other 4 prequels.

 

Are you able to explain the logic behind that rather vague comment. Also Tokyos comment you were replying too also lacks any logic, just vague accusations.

 

I did think that but it's a bit of a stretch to go that far from that translation. If the first message is from the seer they are doing team evil a massive favour by mentioning Shakespeare. If the second message is from the seer they have thrown a spanner in the works with the additional quotes.

 

Even if we correctly guess which of the pair of messages is from the Seer, it doesn't actually help us much today, given that everyone has been named as good. Might help in the future but not worth anything really right now.

 

Both quotes are roughly translated as quotes from Henry V.

Doesn't mean a lot however out of both messages, message 2 seems a lot more structured.

Message 1 has a lot of unnecessary guff about reindeer food and feeding to the lions which serves no good to team good.

 

G’day! Good news that either the Beta or Alpha went for Cancun. Not surprised that Cancun said nothing of note and voted for Helsinki - the wolves don’t know who each other are. On Day 1 the wolves will have done everything they can to stay “under the radar” - ie saying something, but not too much. It ensured Cancun remained unsuspicious, but unfortunately worked too well for him, as a fellow wolf clearly thought he was a “good” villager.
Re the messages, I am inclined to agree with Nairobi - not because I have been named good (I am, but a wolf could easily have named me that randomly) but because I don’t know why the Seer would have viewed Nairobi. The Guardian knows no more or less than the rest of us but, just as the wolves will try not to kill one of their own, so the Guardian will only protect someone they believe to be good. So, rightly or wrongly, a member of Team Good thinks Nairobi is good and he came under no suspicion yesterday.
Why might I have been viewed? Not sure - maybe because I voted late yesterday (members of Team Evil often do that to follow the crowd)?
The only thing we know for sure is that either Nairobi or myself are confirmed “good”, the other is unknown but probably believed to be good by the Alpha.

 

From my understanding of previous werewolf games, Traitors tend to attempt to dictate the days play and confuse the village. Therefore they tend to vote earlier and be more vocal.

Wolves hide a bit more and vote when there is more certainty, where possible.

 

I can sort of understand why the seer viewed Nairobi today as they were protected by the guardian and with little else to go on. However I am swaying towards the second messages being the seer.

I wonder what the importance of Henry V is?

 

I see no point in voting for either named players today. One is confimred good, one is wolfie throwing a name out there. I'd rather concentrate on odd play yesterday and strange voting last night.

Agree with this, although I may add that evils will be trying to hide in the crowd, especially this early in game as odds are that a random lynch will be good, rather than standing out in their voting patterns.

 

I know but vague accusations are pretty much all we have right now.

 

Probably having a senior moment here , but if the messages with the linguistic phrases is the seer , why bother with the linguistic phrases? for the life of me I cant figure out what he is trying to hint to us
setting up a pattern or style , thats great , but so is the other message by jumping in punctually.
am extremely busy atm so cant spend any time on this , please can someone else look into it that has the time.

It could be a seer who is trying to be clever or hint at who they are. The problem is is that it's almost having the opposite affect as we are trying to decipher what they are trying to say.

 

Where’s the benefit in the seer hinting who they are? If the Shakespeare thing is right and the first message today is from the Alpha, he picked up on it before anyone on here. Or at least before anyone on here posted to say they’d figured it out.

To ensure their safety? Thinking back on it you are right. If the alpha has picked up on it it will be interesting to see who they pick tonight.

 

It is true in regards to the hunt however looking back on past games how many times do we get a seer starting off trying to be clever?

 

The people of Morocco may have to bow down to other nations superior knowledge of Shakespeare and British Royalty on this one...

So, yesterday Zagreb did not say too much against anyone, so cant see who might have wanted him dead.

London though, seemed to be quite suspicious about Oslo and voiced those concerns a couple of times. I wonder if he was getting close to the truth.

 

I don’t think any Seer will be trying to hint who they are. They will, however, be trying to steer us towards identifying which messages are theirs.

 

I wonder how many days we could end up with two ‘Good’ messages for. Going to make for nothing but days of pure speculation until the real Seer actually identifies someone as evil.
