As two young nurses die today ahead of a gorgeous weekend, new calls from the Government and NHS for people to stay in, bar food shopping, key work and exercise.

Digging out a fence post and putting a new one in and then cutting the grass. I'll be in all weekend unless I fancy popping out to get some beer.

Unfortunately I can see ******s going out sunbathing and forcing a more severe lockdown.

Yes, except I’ll take the kids for a walk/scooter around the block tomorrow and I’ll go for a long run Sunday morning. Mrs UEA is key workering.

I’ll be dog walking for some local elderly folk, which to be honest is nice. We both work full time so we can’t have a dog. Sunday I’ll be putting on the lycra and heading out for a bike ride. That will be it.

We have a garden so that’s where I’ll be. Out for my usual dog walk in the morning, but luckily we can walk from our house into surrounding woods so no problem there.

I'll go for a run, maybe kick a ball about in the park at the end of the road with the kids and get some bits from the supermarket.

I wouldn't be able to justify anything more.

It's airborne so if you are out in your garden, cycling, walking your dog in the park with no one around & in that breath of air you happen to be breathing at any given moment is carrying enough virus particles along in the wind, you can catch it. It can probably enter your blood stream via mouth, nose & ear canal too.

Same as if you are in a supermarket this weekend, walking behind someone who is infected, even if you are 2.5m away, you have every chance of walking into their air space even as I say you fully respect any notional distance measures.

That's is what we are really talking about here. Stay home 24/7 or be prepared to catch it, it's really that simple.

    Now lets tank the economy.

That’s what the WHO are saying. It mists in the air with a cough so why not stretch that to ‘the air is poison, go outside and die’.

Makes you wonder how long it would take to suffocate if you keep all your doors and windows shut doesn’t it?

    Is COVID-19 airborne?

The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air. They quickly fall on floors or surfaces.

You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within 1 metre of a person who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands.

It’s airborne if you’re really close to someone but it ain’t floating in the air into someone’s garden from miles away.

But the person on the forum said you’ll get it even if you just venture into the garden..... now I don’t know what to believe.

Just a reality, no other way it could be so contagious.

This is why containment inside is pointless unless you accept you'll never go out again, until a vaccine is found. It's just not doable.

It's now just at what point Government weighs the pro/cons of remaining in the current situation & letting people out to catch it.

Turn every park into a makeshift hospital & get the healthy back to work ASAP.

Waste of time. The real truth, as will be revealed at the end of season one, is we've all got it already. We just don't know it yet.

So you want believe the force of the wind is not strong enough to blow a so called 'heavy water particle' across the wind & that same heavy particle will always just somehow fall to the floor immediately, I can perhaps see that in totally sterile conditions where there is no air disruptions? I'm not a Dr but it's surely basic common sense.

You are just believing whatever they say. They are learning new things about the virus & how it transmits everyday so everything is subject to change.

As you like sarky comments, how many football forums are you on & be honest?

I don't know what that means. Is it good or bad?

I responded, you then proceed to get defensive.

What about if I say you are one of those, who frequents multiple football forums & you simply do not like to be challenged after you've dished it out. That sums it up?

You made a bold claim about the spread of the virus based only on what you called common sense, I made fun of that and questioned your ability to make that claim at which point you decided to question my ability to question you with the only thing you could reach for, the fact that I don’t support Watford yet post on this forum. You changed the subject, asked me to answer a question and because I did you declared yourself the winner and offered to make up.

Thats basically how disagreements work on the internet, Twitter, forums, anything like that. Person A says something, B disagrees, A hits back and says the other person doesn’t like it up them rather than defending their original point. It’s just throwing a cat on the table isn’t it?

Anyway, I’m sorry for saying you were talking out of your arse, that’s out of order. I was being cheeky and sarky instead of engaging with what you were saying. I don’t believe that there is any evidence at this time that the virus can travel large distances on the wind and if it did, the chances of those droplets getting into another person’s mouth or nose would be infinitesimally small.

I think postulating stuff like this is unhelpful when so much is up in the air and people are already having to work their lives around the situation as we know it to be.

The latest reports just in is that it could well be or is possible. That's all I was saying.

Nope. I shall be out at 0700 and finish at 2200 both Saturday and Sunday.

Grannies to be showered, dressed, fed and watered, meds got down 'em etc.

Still while I'm wiping bum and emptying pot, I will be thinking of how you non+key workers will be suffering on your sofas at home watching Netflix and picking up yer national assistance out of my taxes...

What with Covid-19 flying about like lead shot among unhelpful and unproven theories, is there any room left for actual oxygen for us to breath??

100% staying in. I've food, books, the tv and the internet to keep me entertained and elderly parents to look after. Is the sky still blue?
