I have 18 players for this to start on Monday at approximately 9am. I'll give a couple more hours for anyone who wants to take any of the last two slots. I will assign roles by the end of the day today. Unless anyone objects, I assume that a number of people will be working from home, I am going to suggest that a day's play is between 9am and 4pm. As per the last time I ran this, to ensure that the first two days are active both the seer and the alpha wolf must post a message by 1pm on those days, after that they are free to post or not. There will be twists like last time I ran the show!
One final thing before I assign roles... PM me now if you are unable to manage the time to be the seer or alpha wolf.
In this game someone will be a virus-carrier, that person will not know it. If you are assigned the role of "Villager" there is a chance it's you, other roles will mean you are not a carrier. The carrier will change the dynamic of the game, so from good's perspective if the SEER views the carrier, they will die, if the guardian or the harlot chooses to visit the carrier, they will also die. From evil's perspective, if a wolf chooses the carrier, the wolf and the carrier will die. The carrier can only be eliminated in three ways, (1) a wolf gets them, (2) they are lynched, (3) they are shot dead. For team evil to win they just need to equal the number of good villagers remaining. For team good to win, they need to eliminate the wolves AND the carrier. If after the final wolf is eliminated the carrier is still alive, the remaining villagers will have one chance to lynch one more player. If they fail to get the carrier, everyone dies and it will be a draw. If the SEER dies having viewed the carrier, if I assign a back up I will inform them who the seer attempted to view. This of course means that if incredibly unlucky, the seer may die on the first morning. I have put some extra thought in how to balance this game, hopefully it pans out well like the last time I ran one.
Will you be going in to detail on the character with a gun before the game starts? I have a vague memory of someone having a silver bullet they could use whenever they wanted but could only use once?
Only that player will know how many bullets they have and when they can use it. This day was legendary: http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/day-3-werewolf-2018.54654/page-7
Everyone has been assigned their roles for the game, I will assign your 'occupations', however feel free to post here what you would like to be before Sunday night. For the benefit of the less experienced players, you can chose to be a BUTCHER, BAKER, CANDLESTICK MAKER, etc. for your character.
That was a fun day in the village. I almost wished I could have seen the look on moogs face at the time!
Particularly as you were the only person to know about it as it was new, everyone else's reaction was a treat.
I"after the final wolf is eliminated the carrier is still alive, the remaining villagers will have one chance to lynch one more player. If they fail to get the carrier, everyone dies and it will be a draw" This would be amazeballs if it happened! In unlikely event that it does, could it be more shīt or bust rather than a draw - villagers win if they choose right, wolves all get resurrected as zombie wolves and kill everyone if the villagers pick wrong! Just adds that extra risk element of choosing wrong.
I'll be the bumbling PM, Bhorace Johnson. I hope to reassure the people of the village with my daily doses of positive spin and hype.
Thanks for running this Otter, I honestly believe that games like this are one impotant way of getting through this lockdown without going mad. I also think we can go back to back on games so I'm happy to run another one afterwards so that you can get involved if you wish. Regarding the carrier, are there any tells at all, any clues, hints by you etc? If the seer or wolf dies by choosing that player then we know, but if we get to end game and we need to choose who has it then won't it be a wild guess? (Other than confirmed viewings)
If a wolf gets the carrier, both will die so it will be academic, but it will be known. If the seer chooses the carrier, only a backup seer (if I appoint one) will know. If you lynch the carrier you will not know that that person was the carrier, this also includes the gunslinger. If the guardian visits you will know.

Ha, well that's certainly going to be a role play in the sense of me not having had a single drop of alcohol in 5 months.
@Otter can you see the 2020 cemetery? At the minute you should be the only one who can see it. If anyone else can see it, let me know. *temporarily unlocking this thread*
Yea, you can create one if you like or whoever is first to enter can create one. You should have full admin access to that sub-forum so can edit, delete, lock stuff too. *closing this thread again* If anyone else can see the cemetery, just reply to the day 1 chat.
5pm works for me, although I'm also happier with later. Anything earlier, and I'll be much less likely to contribute if work is busy.
