Interesting how the football world has almost unanimously sided with Moss on this, despite the general hatred, or at least lack of respect for referees.

Even the way Bournemouth slipped it out was pathetically fitting for them. Getting a squad player to do it in an interview rather than Saint Eddie showing actual leadership and manning up to do it himself.

Tbh a lot of fans see past the plucky little Bournemouth with no money mask..

But you are right - about the only time people have fully backed a ref!

    Haha.

Moss should have said " oh grow up - into a goose, gosling".

An amazingly **** VAR decision has gone our way..... we deserve to be three down and somehow we’re not. Our approach has been pathetic yet again.

Meh, even if we get anything out of this it’ll feel like we’ve used a cheat code or something. ******* this season down the drain we are.

It was the correct decision. If you have an issue, it's not with VAR, it's with the offside law.

It was a decision that was arrived at after a VAR review was it not?

That is true - they will say the VAR is being consistent but the law seem petty and harsh.

I'm all for dumping it off. Gray would probably get 30 a season without it.

Still looking good for the Champions League though, even if Spurs win on Sunday you'll be 10 points clear.

It's a weird season - Arsenal finished 2016/17 with more points per game than you lot at the moment, but didn't even make the top 4. Our chances of staying up might be boosted by the fact that the big teams might actually take the threat of Sheffield United seriously (ludicrous though it sounds) and get their acts together and actually start beating our relegation rivals consistently.

Southampton as bad at defending set play as us ?

But unlike us they have a goal scorer!

Does anyone think if there’s a loser in this, they could still be in the scrap?

    Especially if it’s Burnley.

Vydra's first league goal for Burnley.

Someone was quick to update the Wikipedia article on him!

Matej scoring only makes me sad... esp with the absolute donkeys we've had upfront since he left

Classic bit of quality from Vydra.

That is 2 excellent strikers goals in this game.

I wonder how much we've payed the likes of Gray, Welbeck, Success, Penaranda, Okaka. Don't know how much is down to Giraldi but our owners have made some truly ******ous decisions in the past few years.

I wouldn't go so far with the Vydra-worshipping - even after him scoring his goals per league game for Burnley is still worse than Gray and Okaka, and only slightly better than Success (and likely worse than him goals per minute-wise).

I agree that he deserved a chance to prove himself in the Premier League with us though.

Amazing that he has a much better scoring ratio than Deeney, even with all Troy's penalties.

I have to agree I am slightly knee jerking

He hasn't ever made it in this league but he does feel like wasted potential. It's frustrating we've wasted so many minutes on the likes of Success whose contributed nothing for years when we could've at least helped a player like Vydra to adapt.
I can't help but think if adapted to a formation with enough supply in the box he could score a few at least, even if his all round game isn't great we've all seen what he can do with space in the box. Compared to Gray his technique is certainly better, he would've definitely put away some of the sitters he's missed this year.

Weird that not so long ago Burnley were very much considered to be in the relegation fight, now the BBC are reporting them to be in the race for Europe!

I'm glad Norwich lost but we are never going to defend and play as gallantly as they did when they come to the Vic. It might be a shock score line, but
at which end is highly debatable. Fair kudos to Norwich tonight, played well in wretched conditions.

Got to think that if Villa win today and Bournemouth and Brighton win before we play on Sunday, the fat lady will be clearing her throat.

Spurs looking terrible in defence but they do have some potent attackers even without Kane.
