Or in the Yorkshire Dales on a long hike as he was when we calked him to offer the job. Shakes seems like the sort who might watch anything that looks like football type though!
I would say he would be good cover for Massina and getting a player that many believe is the best left back in he Championship may be a genius idea if we are to go down.
WATFORD PEDERSEN HOPES FADING It looks like Watford will not be signing Birmingham City defender Krystian Pedersen, after failing to match the Championship club’s valuation of the player. Watford turned their attentions to Pedersen after their interest in Tottenham left back Danny Rose were scuppered by his move to Newcastle. But Birmingham were always keen to keep their left back, who’s an integral part of Pep Clotet’s squad, and they’ve resisted Watford’s approaches to this point.
I can only guess we offered £3mil for him after Birmingham paid £2.5mil for him. Most Birmingham fans on their various forums have all stated they would be happy to sell him for £5-6mil. Some wanted £10mil but most are saying that magical £6mil figure. Not that the fans have anything to do with it, but just interesting that a fee the fans would be happy with is not that astronomical.
But we've all had a good time in this transfer window, right? It's the taking part and meaningless U23 team signings that count.
Isn't it about time this whole Transfer List section was deleted? Who wants to know about some 14 year old kid we've signed who will never play for us?
Sorry I meant from corners which is how Pedersen scored. Wasn't very clear so my fault. Very good strike by Masina- makes you think he can do it more often!
He has a very good shot on him. I'd say he can hit the ball harder than any of our strikers. He should be encouraged to have a go more often and get forward as much as he can. It's a surprise to me that it's taken this long for him to get his first goal for the club.
Leaving Birmingham having rejected a new contract offer. Played a fair amount of games this season on the left side of a back three.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he rinsed for pace by Stipe Perica for the late penalty when we went there last season?
I’m not sure. He’s quite a defensive full back so wouldn’t be too good as a wingback. Would probably rather go with his teammate Bela as a backup also on a free but I suspect we might just make so with some sort of combo of right backs/Hungbo/Morris as backup to Kamara instead.
