Gifted right winger who is predominantly right footed and despite reports has never played upfront as a striker but rather as a wide wing forward. Good on set pieces. Plenty of tricks, high technical aptitude, decent dribbler and turn of pace with a rangy stride. Looks awkward on the ball but is rather hard to shake off and is decent aerially too. Loves to come in off the flank to attack the box and delivers a pretty decent ball most of the time. Was linked to Boca and River while at Huracan and I would have liked to see us sign him after his breakout season with Huracan. He is not on the radar of selection for Argentina what with a lack of out and out wingers in the team under Scaloni but he is a better player than Pavon for instance and on the level of young Nicolas Gonsalez at Stuttgart who plays in exactly the same role and is more talented , four years younger and reminds me of a young di Maria at times especially with his headless play at times. Pussetto is a valuable acquisition as we need to keep on building squad depth and like most Argentine players is a solid reliable professional who will work his socks off. Welcome to Watford Ignacio. Buena suerte y muchos goles...
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but if he starts banging in the goals for us, can we call him Pussy Galore?
He certainly works hard, very mobile and direct. Looks good to me. I can see our forwards struggling to keep up with him, and predict some frustration as he looks to put a ball into the box, and Troy is still in the centre circle. Welcome Ignacio.
Genuine question- The big yellow/black/red ‘screen’ at the training ground? Was it erected by us to stop Arsenal spying on our Pearson magic training tactics,or is it something else. Anyone know?
Ben Wilmot approves. https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/wilmot-pussetto-hell-bring-something-else-team
33/1 to score 2 or more goals, it's like printing money considering this guy is going to be top notch. Pussetto and his misses brings some much missed class to the team since players like Cassetti left.
Seems to me like this lad lost his way a bit at Udinese and the Pozzos have seen what Pearson is doing and thought he might be good to get Pussetto back to his best.
To be fair it must be hard for an Argentinian thoroughbred to motivate himself when he's got clowns like ken sema to the left of him, and jokers like okaka to the front.
Yep. If that point is the difference between us staying up or not, he's paid back many times over the notional fee that was shifted between the ledgers of the Pozzo's family accountants. Vamos Nacho!!!
Fantastic goal line clearance, certainly suggests the right attitude is there, but did look. bit light weight. He may need a few games to get up to speed with premier league football I think, but then so did Sarr and look at him now.
True he lost the ball out wide far to easily on one occasion but as you said needs to get up to speed quickly.
Deulofeu is weak as anything and shirked most physical confrontation last season, yet yesterday he shouldered Aurier to the floor. There's hope for Pussetto yet.
We can hope but he can't play in the match because he wasn't registered with us when the original tie took place.
