Nigel Pearson wants to sign Andy King on loan from Leicester this January after his loan at Rangers was cancelled. [The Telegraph]
If he was capable of the same performance levels as a few seasons ago then we could do with a player like him as an option in midfield instead of Chalobah. However, 2 sub appearances in the league for Rangers this season isn't a very positive sign. Only managed 4 appearances in the Champ for Derby last season as well.
He is a Maidenhead boy, so location wise and with the Pearson history I wouldn't be surprised if this happened!
I think Pearson knows what he is doing and knows the player better than we do, King probably understands the way that Nigel Pearson wants to play. However if he can't get a game for Rangers then you wouldn't think he would get much of a game with Watford.
Quite right - his parents came to my daughters wedding - but only came in the evening as Andy was playing his first PL game that afternoon!
Solid, homegrown and cheap squad option who Pearson and Shakey know well Cant really go wrong with a loan deal until end of season
He’d do a job underrated player and better Centrally in a relegation fight than the likes of a Chalobah and Pereyra
Villa looking to sign Drinkwater per sky. It's not like us to go for the cheaper option. Mind you AV have struggled to sign anyone since promotion.
The reason he didn’t play at Derby was due to a knee injury in feb that ruled him out for the season..... no idea why he can’t get a game at Rangers.
Based on what? He’s done nothing for a number of years and before that suffered a serious injury just the same as Chalobah.
Since we ended up with 9 points after 16 games, The Pozzo model is flexible enough to change when a financial disastrous relegation can be seen on the horizon.
Drinkwater is an embarrassing mess, steer well clear. If Villa are putting their faith in him they’re as good as down.
He was but he saw his backside after the title win and basically stopped trying. Kasper and Vardy got a lot of stick for Ranieri’s sacking but DD was one of the worst. Eventually forced a move to Chelsea and has since had a pretty good crack at drinking west London dry. He was a legendary boozer in his Leicester days but at Chelsea he seems to have given up on trying to play and has even opened a restaurant up in Manchester. Got done for drink driving last year too after a crash and had a fight in a nightclub. Seems like a bit of a tool.
In all of life's uncertainties and troubles it's reassuring to know that so called professional footballers can b****r up an excellent career and lifestyle. Silly boy.
