That miss looks as bad as I remember. Why didn't he use his stronger right foot? There was clear daylight between that and the defenders.
Why would any upper Championship club want him though? He's not going to be an automatic starter for any of them - he's a 23 year old striker who's scored two league goals in the last three and a half seasons. I'd be gutted if my side was challenging for the play offs and brought Isaac Success in as a starting striker.
He's pencilled in to cover at left back until he gets sent off after a VAR review against Bournemouth
I'm hoping it'll be for going in for a sliding tackle by the touchline, winning the ball but following through and taking out Eddie Howe at knee height.
There were rumours that Swansea were interested and now their striker that they had on loan from Muff has been recalled they're even more short in that area.
You could be closer than you think, maybe Pearson might go back to Leicester to try and pick a "Fox" up
It would be nice, though we all know that won't happen. Perhaps there is a hidden gem about ready to break through at Leicester that Pearson might know about, perhaps on loan with an option to buy?
That's exactly my point about a hidden gem, he would likely have been a player in the youth set up when Pearson was there. So after four and a half years he would probably be just about right to make the step up to first team football. Therefore he would be a very well hidden gem SLB
Yep, the sort of striker capable of coming straight into the Premier League and start scoring instantly, has been hiding at Leicester, without anybody except Pearson knowing about him, for the last 4 years. Sounds plausible.
So we're after someone that was about 16 years old when Pearson was there, has developed really well but not been noticed by anyone at Leicester and is just ready to come and play in our first team? I'm excited at the prospect!
Deeney got goals against Villa because they’re a championship team, he’ll struggle to get goals against most other teams in the league, so actual goals will not be coming from him. This means the goals will need to come predominantly from Sarr and Gerry. That may be enough, but may not be. Jao Pedro is a complete unknown, he certainly can’t be expected to come in and hit the ground running. So no harm in looking to add a striker that can actually score some goals.
You two can take the piss all you want, but there could be a someone like that who is down the pecking order at Leicester due to the likes of Vardy etc. being at the club, but is biting at the bit to move to the next stage of his career and might just see Pearson and WFC as the place to achieve what they want. These sort of players do exist out there and possibly at Leicester, therefore the Pearson connection could be the thing that swings their decision to come to us, rather than another team.
Off the top of my head I can't, but lets take a look at our own history. Chalobah for instance, he is exactly the sort of player I am talking about, not getting a regular game at Chelsea so moved on to us to get the chance of first team football, which he did until his injury misfortune.
So how about instead of wasting even more time blurting out such stuff on here and discussing in an unsubstantiated, vague manner, you actually just go and spend a few minutes doing some quick research on, say, Leicester's squad list (current and recent past), then come back if/when you manage to find some names that could fit the profile you described (as unlikely as it sounds)?
Leicester have 3 strikers in their senior set-up: Vardy, Iheanacho + Perez. No chance of getting any of them. They have 2 strikers in their U23s that have done well at youth level: George Hirst and Admiral Muskwe. George Hirst was bought in the summer (in a very Pozzo like move - he was in Sheffield Wednesdays academy and was very highly rated. He ran down his contract and joined OHL in Belgium, where he stayed for a year before joining Leicester in the summer. Funnily enough OHL are owned by the same people who own Leicester. Leicester would have been due to pay much more for him had he joined Leicester directly as they would've had to pay a fee determined by tribunal. Understandably Sheffield Wednesday are not amused by this but I don't think there's anything they can do). He's played in the England youth teams a fair bit and at 20 could certainly still make it (and has 6 goals in 12 games in the U23s this season). Don't think we stand a chance here. Admiral Muskwe I know a lot less about and has only really started scoring this season (at 21), he got 3 goals in 13 games with the U23s last season but has 7 goals in 17 games (including 2 in 4 in the Checkatrade EFL cup) so far this season.
Don't worry about me Jumbolina I'm used to it, it's because I say what I think and there are loads on here that don't have a thought in their heads, but are more than happy to slag off those that do
Well if you actually have a thought in your head about possible transfers then how about you actually post it for once? There are loads on here who at least try and make suggestions.
