Decent bloke and at least speaks English. But he has a much easier time looking good with the U23's who actually want to perform for him and do well. It is like having your favourite toy taken away and been given a dust rag in return and being told to just deal with it. To be fair nothing matters in this department now. We can keep goals out as much as we can, but having zero attacking threat regardless of opposition is just why we are where we are. The players down tools so easily and even though Leicester scored relatively early in the SH, we never looked like scoring.
I can't see him being in charge for long, however, too much criticism towards him based on yesterday is completely unfair. He only took 2 training sessions in preparation for the game and neither would have been particularly 'heavy' sessions. On another day (with a more competent ref) we may be looking at an unlikely point away to one of the best teams in the league.
I’m not sure if this is a joke thread or not .. bit blimey give the guy a chance ! I’m not saying he’s the answer , he probably isn’t but he’s had no tine whatsoever to try to drill this squad into some kind of effective Unit .
He's clearly not the answer but I do want him around the club for several years and I hope we keep him here as a constant despite the ever changing staff.
The players would have known who he was when he parked his battered old cortina in the managers parking place next to their shiny new 4 x 4’s
“ Clearly not the answer “, I’m not to sure about that really depends what the question is!, in the circumstances I thought we did ok last night, we were hardly expected to go there and get anything out of the game, if our attempt on goal in the 92nd minute had gone in we would have been shouting for him to get the job!
I agree it was nowhere near as bad as Saturday, but I would've hoped for a bit more reactiveness with the subs at the very least. Better formation, better attacking intent (not that it resulted in any creation!), but we still haven't seen a solid 90 mins effort and I just don't think Mullins can gee them up enough. I do want him kept around the set up and maybe in a few years he'd be ready.
This is getting silly. He had two training sessions with them followed by an away match at the second-placed club. Nobody supplied him with oofal-dust.
It's the players that are most accountable. They have dropped down tools & it's clear to see. Weak & afraid. Doesn't matter who you get in to coach now. Best appointment would be to get that bloke back with the pink shirt.
Criticism for last night's game is not only unfair but stupid. Mullins wouldn't have been able to have a full training session, the performance was far better and I think we may have got something out of it if it was not for the softest penalty you will see all season being awarded.
I'd give Mullins the boot simply for his own mental health and the sake of his career. Seems a decent guy and has been thrust in the spotlight to be remembered for taking the helm of a sinking ship.
She should have been appointed over Quique. He wouldn't have been good enough, but at least we wouldn't have played for a goalless draw against the worst teams in the league. Now Quique has essentially relegated us, we essentially need to ask if he will get us out of the Championship. I'm undecided so far, but I'll give him at least another game before I chase him out of Hertfordshire.
I've just realised that our ex-manager's first name literally translates to Who? What? Ironically, the two most commonly used words uttered following his bizarre substitutions/ tactics. We give dried grass fort a couple of games, at least.
LOL you can't reach out and poke someone in the face, accidental or not. You should have been down before half time anyway, remember that stonewall penalty you got away with?
Take it you've never played the game before. Players always use their arms when jostling for position. The one in the first half was more of a penalty. We all know VAR was introduced to re-enforce the referee's original decision by now, don't we?
Big round of applause for Mullins and Stack. In under a week they did more than the Spanish k n o b did in his pathetic attempt.
