Also The Expanse Season 4 starts on December 13th. Don't worry about the game tomorrow, start watching The Expanse instead.
We'll see a more positive display (which isn't hard). Maybe even a half decent team line up. But the fact is that they will breeze through our defence and easily score a few goals.
Lecester 4 - 5 Watford. One of most astonishing games you'll ever see kickstarts our season. Deulofeu with all of them.
The og's will all be incredible acrobatic efforts to prevent a goal that just dont quite work, apart from the fourth which is a clearance into his face from 2 yards that flies in.
It's sad to see how separate our journeys have been since we knocked Leicester out the play off's in the greatest Watford moment of all time. Mahrez, Drinkwater, Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, N'Didi, Tielemans, Soyunucu, Maguire, Fuchs, Kante and I'm sure some more, all brilliantly identified and sold on for massive profit or contributing to Leicester's success now. Yet here we are bottom of the table with Mariappa starting at centre back and spent a N'Didi on an Andre Gray. #PozzoScoutingNetwork #GreatestEver
I’ve been putting money on our opponents all season long. Usually the reverse-jinx is strong, and we pick up our fair share of results. This year, I’ve been cashing in. I expect this game to follow this seasons trend.
I think we’ll win.... But I still expect everything to go **** up at some point because it’s just in my nature. Who knows.... If you want a preview about Leicester then I’ll write one, if not I’ll be back on Thursday with the #bantz Peace and love, have a safe journey if you’re travelling up tomorrow. If you’re drinking before the game I don’t really know where the away friendly pubs are, you probably know better than me but there’s plenty of nice spots for a drink and some nosh in the city centre around Highcross. It’s not too big a diversion if you come in on the train, about a 20 minute walk to the ground from the centre.
I remember playing leicester at home years ago and 2 of their hooligans were in our end causing mischief, and they didnt get kicked out the ground they just got walked all along the touchline past our fans in the rous stand to the away end. They were hurling abuse at our fans every step of the way and threatening people and we didnt do jackshyt about it. Soft southern shytes. Always stuck in my mind that. Anyone remember it? When was it? I think it was one of the last games of the season.
Almost certainly when they relegated us in the mid 90s with a Muzzy Izzet goal. Think it might have got them in the play offs too. Their fans were on it that day, a group of about five of them threw their half full cans of Foster's at a teenage version of me on the way to the ground because I was wearing a Watford baseball jacket (yep, every bit as cool as it sounds).
Think you are right. Just had a look, 1996! Didnt think it was that long ago. That can of fosters incident doesnt surprise me one bit. Leicester dont have a rep as being particularly "nawty" but I've always been wary since. Their hooligans looked like textbook thugs (cheap bovingdon market style leather jackets etc)
Just watched the build up on Amazon Prime. Apparently we have a divide in the dressing room and there are a lot pf players looking to move on. This is according to Jermain Jenas. When asked how he knew this, replied "I used to play the game".
Yes, please do a write-up, Filbert. Something gracious, like Clive does, but preferably without mentioning Cuba
A poor man had a cardiac arrest towards the front of the Vicarage Road stand that day before the match. Only time I've ever seen CPR done for real and hopefully it will stay that way. I never heard what happened but I hope the man recovered.
There is a symmetry to all this. Remember Rogers integrity, then remember 2013, then remember Leicester sacking their manager and their remarkable resurrection from relegation followed by winning the league the following season.......... It's gone full circle..........Now is our time......
Leicester, like us have of course been in what is now League One. Actually not too long ago in fact, I remember they went down with Southampton the same day we by nook and crook got into the play offs by getting a late draw against Blackpool. They stream rolled that season there, and to be honest look a much better team and side for it. I am not suggesting we need two consecutive relegations to sort our own mess out, but it just proves going down is not always the be and end all. Yes, Leicester are a much bigger club than we are, but we have the same passionate fans (I would like to think). We do need a clear out of all the so-called 'dead wood' in this squad, and hopefully with Mullins in the hot seat now. and whoever does come in - we get the chance to do that as soon as January or a least the Summer. By that time, could well of faced our first relegation of the hypothetical "two relegations", but if a few seasons of stability in the Championship is what we need now - then I feel at the end of it all, and when we do come back up, we will be much stronger for it.
That game in 96 last day my younger brother read his beano comic through half of it. My Dad spoke to a leicester fan at the end all nice talk. I said to him why did you speak to himwhen one of them gave you a thick ear in the mid 80s my Dad just laughed
If we do go down im actually looking forward to getting some more exciting away days done better than the stale plastic prem ones. My other half is an Oxford fan rate both clubs going we get our first league away day at the Kassam. And they hate the scum so much so they cheered the scums half time score on Saturday
