Good point. If we do that we will be in with a good chance. But we don't have a great track record in achieving it. My concern at the moment is not giving away stupid free kicks in the last third. We give away a lot of cheap free kicks, and we'll be lucky to get away with that against Burnley.
It's ok. He's just picked up a 3 meal suspension for headbutting Greg so will now be available for us.
Nope. Our full backs tend to stroll over to the crosser, stop about 15 yards away and let them get the cross in. Think it was Gary Neville who said that if he let a cross go into the box, then he hasn't done his job. That's the way it should be. But we just let them do it. Frustrating.
Who has said that? The HB part is not true. He says we dodged a bullet under Mazarri where as most others believe we were never in danger. Try not sensationalise things or make things up. Are you a journalist as well?
Everyone can see that we're in trouble. It doesn't take hb1 to tell us that. What gets me is the pointless and relentless over-analysis of the rest of the season (or past seasons). We need to try and beat Burnley (there will be various views on how we might do that) and then Southampton. Anything further than that suggests 'too much time on your hands'. Move along down the carriage please ...
Vydra has made sure he is injured for this one just in case he gets on and scores. He doesn't want to hurt the club he loves!
Barnes and Woods will have a field day. We are rubbish at the back and we can't even head a queue. Burnley will just need to get wide and cross the ball, easy as that. Barnes and Woods should take along some deckchairs, sit and wait . They may wish to bring a newspaper to read in order to pass the time between scoring. 4-0 to Burnley. I hope l am wrong..
Funny you should ask that Mr Knight, since it was your post that inspired that, but then I think you already know that. I don't understand what part of the HB thing you're claiming is 'not true', it's not very clear, but I'd be intrigued if you'd tell me what it was I was 'making up'?
Wow. I think you are misinterpreting/misrepresenting quite a few people on here. I'm sure you are kind to children and animals and a generally good all-round fellow, but you do have form for this. I doubt if anybody in the World thinks we are doing well. We get the point that Watford must improve their results. However, some of us would contend that Watford could quite conceivably lose to Burnley, who are not a bad side, and yet still be in with a chance of staying up.
Odd Burnley are rubbish away. We're next. Saints are rubbish at home. Guess who goes there next? Surely xmas cannot come twice in two weeks..
Going by past Watford seasons, we tend to be the side teams in a rut beat. Many of said before we're the gift that keeps on giving in this respect.
Me and the wife are heading to the Vic tomorrow on a whim, to escape our current personal circumstances of which some of you know. Sounds bizarre, but can honestly say I've never wanted a win more. Not the FA Cup Final etc. Desperate for a win.
Hoping for some Deulofeu magic again as that's the only way we're going to score. I think Burnley will chip away at us in their own delightful style and we'll inevitably make mistakes that will cost us. It's going to be a horrible game!
I hope that the lads can do that small token for you and your wife Burnsy. Be a pleasure to have you both at the Vic tomorrow afternoon. Really hope things are as good as they can be honey. Best and warmest wishes to the both of you. xx
The most likely outcome 0-0.Last on motd. Only talking point is Del Boy gets battered by the cloggers and WWE star Dyche says his dive was worthy of gold at the olympics and why do these talented players dive and cheat each week. We badly need to start winning at home especially in winnable games on paper. Going into the saints game with another 3 points would be massive. I was looking forward to this game before reading the obvious on here, hopefully we watch a 3-0 Del Boy brace with comments of why he was a Barcelona player and a Deeney goal to get the season of and running Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
First home game of the season for me today. 3 points a certainty for us. You Orrrrrrrrnnnnnnnsssssss!!!!!
Got to start winning at home is long overdue. The last time we took the lead in a home Premier League game was against Fulham back in April. The last time we took the lead against a current EPL side was Leicester on 3rd March. An utterly pathetic record.
Please spare a thought for those of us who are travelling long distances to attend this. I'm definitely sure there's some paint drying on the wall at home that needs somes careful attention.
I remember he caused Cathcart and Mariappa all sorts of issues last season and had a goal wrongly ruled out for "offside"
The one game that Prodl would have really been handy and he's injured yet again. Mariappa has a great leap on him but always struggles against Burnley.
