Apparently down to a couple of London derbies the police are worried about - West Ham v Spurs being one.

And there is going to be a Friday night game the weekend we play Norwich (9th)

Please don't, I have already booked accommodation for this match, and if it is moved to Sunday or Monday I will be leaving Norwich before the game as I have a holiday booked over the international break.

I was going to Norwich but now can't. My wife is away for the Chelsea game so was struggling to go as probably couldn't get 3 tickets together (me and the 2 kids) so that's a bit of a result. Southampton doesn't make any difference

Nice to see a few away fixtures on TV for once.

I swear the majority of our televised games always seem to be at the Vic, probably because it's a decent ground to get to for the sky teams or something!

(Someone's going to come on here and prove me wrong now right?!)

Maybe this, but in our first few seasons TV probably thought most of our away games would not be competitive especially as they generally would want to spice the game up so were largely vs top 6 teams or established ones like West Ham and Everton.

We can largely hold our own now even if our record v top 6 is a little ropey. Actually quite pleased to see our trips to Norwich and Southampton picked. Was getting sick and tired of only games v top 6. Plus the Norwich game could be a cracker given the respective creaky defending. Probably be a **** 0-0 now.

I remember we played Norwich on the 1st Friday of the season and won 3-2 .

It was all hyped up about Norwich and the spoiled the party.

Some chap called Deeney made his debut !

I saw the 0-0 game at Carrow Road in Feb 1988 - both sides lucky to get nil. A very cold, cold match watched by a whole 13,000 attendance. I can guarantee the upcoming fixture will be more attractive than that game.....

Well I guess they can’t all be classics and, yes, hopefully the upcoming one can’t possibly be as bad.

Also saw a much better game at the end of our first ever season above the bottom 2 divisions (in the old Div.2) in April 1970. Scullion scored with a terrific dipping shot to secure a 1-1 draw, again at Carrow Road. A few thousand Horns went up to Norwich for that game, watched by over 16k this time. The previous away game saw a couple of coaches go up to the old Huddersfield ground at Leeds Road to swell a 27,000 (yes 27k) crowd cheering Town on to promotion to the 'top flight'.

How times change but stay much the same....

BTW no danger of games being moved for TV in those days.

I have a feeling I went to that as well. In fairness they are normally entertaining games with decent local fans. I do also remember losing 6-1 up there, I think mid eighties.

I went to that one too. As I remember it, we also had another goal (cracking Scullion shot as well I think) ruled out because someone out on the left (not interfering with play) was offside. Prior to our equaliser, second half too, attacking our end. Would have stood now.

Does anyone know when Dec/Jan televised fixtures will be announced? Was supposed to be last Friday.
I need to know when we are playing Bournemouth , as I need to book Travelodge, and I have other stuff to organise around that time.
Seems to me, the Premier League and the TV. companies do not give a flying fig for the supporters.
This live TV. nonsense is ruining the whole experience for me.

Apprantley it's because Liverpool have their World Club Champions thing so the timings of their games are holding things up.

And all this Boxing Day stuff .

Sure the footballing population cannot wait for us to be hammered at Liverpool or grind out a 0-0 draw with Sheffield United !
