Agreed. Even though Success put in a good shift when coming on. I will say again absolutely pointless playing Gray as a loan striker, he is beyond hopeless at holding the ball up or even controlling the ball. As you said we were crying out for some pace. That saying we had two of the fastest players in the prem wasted on the bench. Appalling lineup and tatics.
Summer transfer window has been a net loss. 1 centre back who is inexplicably worse than what we already had, plus two players who don't or can't play for us.
Depending on whether you see twitter as a reliable source or not, this may or may not affect you. Talk on Twitter is he is getting sacked.
I see a lot of people calling for him to go, but I don't see anyone suggesting in a reportage sense that he actually is. Do you have any links/tweets?
If the Pozzo's have even half a brain despite the way they ignore our defence every transfer window, then they'll know that's what needs to be done.
Looks like Pozzo is giving the confused ditherer more time. A decision that will in my view cost us our premier league place.
I'm still quite torn, I like Gracia and think he's done a good job but after yesterdays lineup and subs he looks like a man whose ran out of ideas. My main concern is the fact that only a negative defensive coach I.e big Sam would be able to turn us into a solid side with our flimsy defense, so it seems we'll have to sacrifice any attractive football we once played in the past 13 months for safety if we want to stay up. If the Pozzos dont have a trick up their sleeve with the next manager I think we're ****ed sadly.
Big Sam move collapses after Sarr deal leaves insufficient funds for the kitchen to feed both him and Deeney. Sainsbury's shares rise after a boost in profits at London Colney store.
All this talk about who we want ... who would want us? Would Javi have some sort of performance/ results clause built into his contract? Anyone know about these things? Next international break would be the most logical time ... maybe
My favorite part about getting a new manager is the chance to revisit the idea we could install a managerial “dream team” of Dyche and Zola. It’s been too long.
Adam Leventhal on The Athletic is suggesting that he will be given more time. Not leaving during international break, and will probably be given time for Welbeck and Sarr to be in a position to start. One presumes fitness is still an issue for both.
Ah, so maybe this is why Javi isn't using them - if he plays them and we still do crap then he has no excuse, while at least for the time being he can claim it's because they're not fit enough yet and so he hasn't got the full squad available.
1 point to show from 4 games against teams from mid to lower table is not good notwithstanding the poor run at the back end of last season. However, I'm willing to trust in Gino and co to make the right decisions and if they stick by Javi, that's good enough for me. Personally I hope he turns the team around but I have my doubts.
On the face of it, I'm a bit surprised so many seem to want him out Having said that, if we had gone through a similar run to the one you'd been on, I'm not sure how much more patience I'd have left Guess it would come down to what your expectations are and what you deem the minimum acceptable performance, and I don't have much of a handle on what that constitutes for you guys
I can only imagine what City are going to do to us with this idiot still in charge. Could easily be record breaking.
Expectations of fans are to finish above Palace and Bournemouth, beating you lot twice in the league and once in the cup just for good measure. Finish above you (‘cos we’re bigger ) and get into Europe. Realistically, survival is acceptable.
Why have we loaned Penaranda out to some KVA forein side? I was looking forward to seeing more of him. This season continuesto baffle.
