I'm hearing that Javi is optimistic about him being involved on Saturday. 90% that he'll make the squad and 50/50 whether he'll start. The only doubt is about whether or not he's 100% ready yet, but I expect we will get some clarity over the next 72 hours on that front.

Probably that he will be subjected to the torture of watching it from the stands along with the rest of us.

    Bowie books.

There's more to explore with DB than most rock stars. Not simply Reg was a natural genius at the keyboards, played in a boozer near Harrow, chanced across Bernie & they wrote brilliant, popular songs. DB's astonishing changes in direction are, I believe, unparalleled & he hoovered up a bizarre range of outside influences.

Has anyone ever appealed to the ear, the mind & the groin to the same extent as Bowie?

    These are decent biographies:

    The magnificent Pegg opus:

A little more niche. A memoir by Kenneth Pitt, DB's first manager:

A day by day account until DB left London for good in 74:

Evokes Berlin, DB's fragile state of mind & possibly the biggest left turn in popular music, Young Americans then Low:

I think we may have misunderstood Sarr's intended role.

Looks like he is the new broom to sort out Retail Operations.

Expect '13 letters for the price of 12' & similar on matchday.

Welbz more on the pricing gun.

I looked this up on my kindle out of curiosity and accidentally bought it due to that damn 1-click buy thing. 29,000 kindle locations long FFS.

I've only seen bowie once, 20 years ago at glastonbury and I was too off my **** to remember any of it.

You've missed out on an experience. Luckily got to see him on numerous occasions. First ever concert was the serious moonlight tour. I thought it was so good I ended up going twice more. The glass spider tour at Roker Park was unbelievable, along with Wembley arena I believe. Sound and vision when he said he would never play any old stuff again was a real journey of his back catalogue. For some reason after a poor tin machine gig I never saw him live again.
Luckily i get my fill from a local tribute band in Bergen. Who are not the best but make up with great enthusiasm.

The best &, arguably, only way to enjoy the festivities.

    Enjoy the book.

Amongst other things, it shows you how much he created & how much of it only he could have created & performed.

Our lot, you just have to be joking.
Mind you having said that, I detect a better mindset among our fans at the match than I do on this forum, sometimes I wonder whether half the folks on this forum are Watford at all.

I agree with Mane, the kid just need us to be understanding and give him time to become the world class player he can be in a supportive and positive environment.

On the basis of 'if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all', I've just emailed the club to return my season ticket seat for tomorrow's match.

That thought crossed my mind also when I read that. But the crowd on match days are very tolerant and supportive. He'll have no problem there.

The usual unsupportive people that post on here, don't go to the games anyway, so it's not really a problem.

Mmm. Remember that tomorrow when the fans boo the team off at half time/full time, chant 'we're ******* ****' if we're losing or 'how **** must you be, we're winning at home' if we are winning or throw some vitriolic abuse because of a misplaced pass.

True, but I did say "Better Mindset".
Dread to think what a matchday would be like if they were all of the same ilk as on here.
Having said that though, I do sometimes wonder if it is just banter, however it is not very supportive of the team, especially in light of the fact that I am sure some of the players will look on here from time to time.

Not sure where you get the concept that critics don’t go to games. I have a season ticket and get fully behind the team on match days and never boo.

However if we lose 6 in a row I’m not going to virtually clap like a seal on a forum. If I see in my view poor club decisions then I’m going to say how I see it on a forum. The forum is a place for reflection and letting off steam. The match itself is for getting behind the team.

You come across as constantly sensitive about what people post about the club on the forum. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Edit: it was HB1 who said negative posters don’t go to games but the point remains.

Can’t believe today is the day we get to see our record signing completely wasted as a tucked-inside, defensive winger.

    Happy days.

I think it is fair enough to "let off a bit of steam" with some exasperation and exaggeration. But the problem is, they will then go on to defiantly defend it to the death, with further total negativity and it just takes over. And there is little doubt that there are a small number of posters on here are, regardless of results, incredibly negative and downbeat, and I am probably not alone in being frustrated by that.

We are not a "hyperbole" team in any way, neither brilliantly great, nor the worst team ever. We are probably about mid table in the top division in England. Being about the 12th best team in the land is nothing to get so continually downbeat about. We have a history that has seen us at the bottom of the entire league, and have been a potential "Bury" only a few years ago. Relatively speaking, we are now "flying".

So negatively hyperbole name-calling of a player or our team actually has little credibility, and is difficult to debate with.

I class myself as pessimistic. I give credit when we do well though. Can’t speak for everyone but when I am negative about investment in defence (for example) or keeping on Gomes etc it is because I think your mid table security can turn into relegation in the blink of any eye.

I'm just happy we are playing an EPL game today. The result, performance and impending relegation is irrelevant.

Any fans with ambition can **** right off and support Arsenal.

Nowhere in my post did I say or imply, nor do I think, that critics do not go to games.
I said that I detect a better mindset among our fans at the match than I do on this forum, in no way was I suggesting that they where necessarily a different set of fans.
Having said that I do agree with the points you have made, but you may possibly have slightly misinterpreted what I was trying to say, which is not surprising, as I do struggle to find the right words to put my point accross.
