Bitcoin is not in a legal position to sponsor anyone/anything as it is not an entity nor a company, it is a de-centralised digital currency. You may be confused slightly and thinking about a company within the blockchain industry being advertised on the sleeve.
Unfortunately that's not quite accurate; our sponsor is Sportsbet.io, who are a betting company that work in the crypto space. We're not sponsored by Bitcoin itself, they're just a betting site that primarily deals in it.
Perhaps. I was making habit of a guess - but its definitely the bitcoin logo going on the sleeve. Check out the 'New Kit' thread...unless it's faked. I possibly am. See above for where my answer came from. Again, as above. Are clubs allowed to have the same sponsor on the sleeve as on the front of the shirt? Or 2 companies that are linked etc? I still suspect that we are getting paid quite well for having the logo of a cryptocurrency logo on our sleeve anyway!
If I remember correctly the Richarlison money or part of it at least wasn’t included in the last accounts. Don't forget we also sold Lukbakio for nearly £20m so our net spend is actually only just over £20m even without any Richarlison money factored in, a pittance essentially. Forgetting sponsorships and everything else any PL club can afford £20m and still be more than solvent.
To add to the above we’ve obviously built a decent squad progressively and bit by bit over four seasons, we haven’t lost any players this season so we can now finally afford to spend £35m on one player, because we don’t need to buy 6-7 players for £5/£10m each like when we first got promoted.
Well, well, well, we actually got this DEAL over the line at nearly the last minute! I wonder who blinked first, as earlier in the day according to SSN this DEAL was VERY UNLIKELY to happen. Apparently there was a dispute over how much should be paid and as neither side were willing to compromise they were both going to walk away which would not have pleased either side, but thankfully it looks like the spectre of NO DEAL was very much on the table, therefore finally one side blinked and either increased or decreased the amount that was eventually decided on. Interesting that, perhaps keeping the prospect of NO DEAL on the table actually concentrated minds which in turn meant common sense prevailed, culminating in both sides getting more or less what they really wanted, A DEAL! I wonder just how much we would have ended up paying had the threat of walking away from a deal had not been on the table
This analogy only works if you assume that the options we offered Rennes were: (A) Deal or (B) No Deal and we cancel the contracts of Doucoure, Delofeu, Capone and Pereyra. And burn down our own stadium.
Apart from posting a load of political crap in the wrong section, I'll make it easier for you. A deal was agreed that was acceptable to both parties and ratified by the PL. Other than that, you're ****head.
Can I ask a genuine question? Your post clearly alludes to politics and is designed to wind people up... So - last season, when you sent out a plea to all fans on here to help you out with Fan ID’s etc to help you get tickets for the FA Cup Final through the kindness of their own hearts, did you think that somewhere further down the line you’d still like to be purposefully antagonistic? Carry on like that and you’ll find people give you short shrift when you make genuine posts or requests.
I'm not trying to be antagonistic I'm just trying to make people understand that negotiations cannot be entered into with your hands tied behind your back IMO, that is all. Why should people be antagonised by that, I really don't get it?
Having read a bit of this thread, now the deal's done, I despair at some of those I will be sharing a common space with in 38.5 hours time. First the general negativity around an owner and his team who have brought untold success to our football club as if they don't know their job or something. Then someone perks up moaning about a brief aside surrounding their pets which you can simply scroll on through rather than spending far more time typing out your moan. Then the comedy snowflake thought police show up and moan about a joke that you could hear in any comedy club on a Saturday night and I thought was very witty. We've just completed our record signing, an attacking player in the Zaha mold, who, because I reckon that Gino and team do know their bizz, is a desperately exciting prospect for our club. Get a grip. See you on Saturday.
Disagree with this a little bit. Sarr has been an established first team player for 3 seasons now, and has also established himself at international level. He’s played more games, scored more goals, and made more assists. By contrast, Lukebakio had a couple of seasons of intermittent appearances in the inferior Pro Ligue, before his admittedly impressive displays last year for Fortuna. I’d argue that Sarr is a more established prospect, who’s performed at a consistently higher level than Lukebakio over the last 3 years.
Double our record signing! Has any other Prem team done that this window (apart from the newbie melts)? Massive statement from Gino.
Not sure you can take the posting high ground considering you were previously subject to forum disciplinary measures for drunken rants on the politics forum!
Spot on. Also Lukebakio played up top for Belgium under 21s in the Euros this summer, failed to score in their disastrous campaign. Our technical team would have studied both players in detail and made their choice. The other issue is Lukebakio has an attitude problem as stated publicly by a team mate last season and evidenced by his own public statements. I think Lukebakio + £20m is a decent deal. Even if Sarr isnt as good as we hope, he'll be a lot of fun to watch.
There are rumours that most bitcoin is owned by a small number of billionaire investors who manipulate the market. I get loads of fake news articles promoting bitcoin in my feed. Some people are spending a lot of money to promote bitcoin.
Unless you believe that 'normal' is just a social construct most people cling to because the alternative is too scary for them to handle. Personally I've never met a 'normal' person. Stopped looking a while back. Ask any psychiatrist.
