Sky have announced their first two months of televised games - we are on.....once.

Arsenal at home moved to Sunday 15 September - 4:30 (Super Sunday)

    No picks on BT.

As far as I can see, every other club other than us and Brighton is on at least twice....could be wrong though as I have only glanced at it.

We just don't bring in the viewing figures for them, so it's no wonder we're not picked often.

Didn't we have the fewest games on TV last season?

I don't really understand that. We were top half for a long time, named for large parts of the season by some in the media as "the best of the rest". We don't play a dull style of football. This next one might sound a weird thing to say....but our kit stands out due to not many playing in yellow. Our fans have become more vocal so our games aren't played in silence, we have a few players that are becoming more household names, a couple of them are exciting to watch. I just don't get whatever reputation we have as not being a good watch, well certainly no-where near the worst!

Simply because the start of our season isn't really inspiring
    Brighton H
    Everton A
    WHam H
    Newcastle A
    6 - 8 points expected there.

Arsenal H is our first decent match

    After that
    ManCity A
I don't want to watch or even hear anything about. In fact wfc forums will be going down for routine maintenance that week.

    Wolves A

Given that first 2 months I'd only pick the Arsenal match for TV as well.

19th October Spurs away I reckon that might get covered and also 2nd Nov Chelsea at home. They do like to have a little run of a couple of televised games sometimes.

No one watches us or cares and I don't blame them.

Equally the TV channels only really care about the top 6 and this season I'm assuming they won't even pretend otherwise - certainly the opening fixtures prove that.

Until Amazon get the rights and show all the games every week, this will not change.

In the Smoking Walter season we were on 13 times I think !

No wonder they don't bother with us now !

Can you do maintenance when we play Liverpool away as well?

I've already put it down as a 5-0 loss on my acca.

I get the reasoning behind showing the top 6 all the time, pretty obvious. But it just ends up being too many mismatches. Us V Wolves, Newcastle, West Ham, Everton would be good games, all going for the same positions in the league. Plus those teams all seem to be seen as 'desirable' for TV audiences.

As far as Man City games go, I'm well up for pretending football doesn't even exist then.

Our goals reel, certainly until Christmas, was the best of any team.

Remember the montage over MotD's closing credits?

That clashes with the penultimate day of the last Ashes test.

Ideally, we'll have wrapped that one up by lunchtime.

We always get Man Utd at home on BT, I suspect that a BT executive is a Man U 'fan' that lives somewhere like St Albans.

Although this might sound a little 'Game's not what it used to be' I think it's worth remembering that the Premier League is a global spectacle now.

Does it really matter that we are not on UK tv? Our games will be on in the USA, China, Greece, Azerbaijan... that's the audience and that's the opportunity.

We still get to go at 3pm so happy days! Ha!

We're only of interest if we started winning a lot of games, then we'd be a bit of a novelty act. People may tune in if they think we could beat up the big boys. Unfortunately, apart from the relegated sides, we're probably the easiest opponent for a top 6 side to play against. So there's no feeling of jeopardy and the neutral viewer doesn't really want to watch a non-event of a match.

Only problem is, that lack of TV games is stopping us from buying the players those who love 3pm kick offs want.

All about views which we don't generate, we're dog **** against the top 6 so no upsets and if we're playing anyone else who the **** apart from us wants to watch it? Guess we should be glad there's a minimum amount of games they have to show otherwise we'd never be on TV. The fewer games moved the better, at least we can book up trains and hotels for away games.

..and some of us book up trains for home games. Goes from £64 return down to £35 when I can get an advanced ticket.

I've missed arsenal at home for the last 3 seasons for various reasons.

This means I'll miss it again.

Someone doesn't want me going to arsenal at home!!!

3 clubs.. Huddersfield, Southampton and ("media darlings") Bournemouth had the least number of live games with 8 each. Then came us on 10.

It's a bit of a paradox though isnt it. We're offended we arent on TV more.. and then complain about kick off times when we are!

Although unrelated all but one of our FA Cup games were on TV too. Obviously all matches from the 6th round were on anyway.

Well we have to be on 10 times at least don't we? So they're saving them up for our title run in during 2020.

You say that - it did in 2007.

Think Webber scored a last minute winner for them.

Boothroyd v Warnock eh? Bet that was a classic!
