Not sure how many Cuadrados there are, but is he the same one that was an expensive flop with Chelsea 3 or 4 years ago?
Chelsea made a profit on him tbrough 2 loans to Juventus and an eventual sale to Juventus. Former Pozzo recruit hence we're being linked. Same as Brahimi.
There often seems to be goodwill to the Pozzos from their alumni. JC will be 31 so might fancy a last run in the EPL to end his career.
Pereyra came here. But Cuadrado would be on considerably more money. An excellent player in his time but on the wane I would think. Would he come here despite his former links with the Pozzo's ? We need to get an up and coming youngster as the Pozzo model dictates. And there are several candidates out there.
I reckon we need a blend of development kids & stable post peak pros. Most obvious examples of the latter have been our 3 Pozzo keepers bringing experience & stability. Pereyra has been an excellent Juve cast off & not even post peak. Maybe Schurrle would make a handsome bookend for J Cuad.
Was an A Grade tosser in the World Cup, but an outstanding player. And let’s face it if he was flawless we wouldn’t get him.
Udinese have one such candidate who is actually leaving them on 3oth June. From memory, his name is Wilmot...
Neuton says "It's a fair cop". TBF I was wondering the other day how the likes of Abdi, Vydra, FF, Angella etc couldn't get in the Udinese team. They must have had some team before the Pozzos lost interest in them. In return we give them an old Berahmi, Zee and Okaka
A top class striker. And a gentleman. Was reluctantly almost forced into football. Basketball was his real ambition. Still loved in Florence.
I was fortunate to see him play twice at the SAF. What a player, what a city! What a pity his statue is falling to bits. I wore my 'Batigol' t shirt for the Palace game. Should I wear it to Wembley?
And in my ends. THE star of Golazzo Sundays on C4 in the 90s which, in those pre Sky days, was our window into top class club football. Some players are just bigger than the game. They impose their will & make it happen. GB was, gloriously, one of these. The scale was smaller then but the CR7 of his day. Lovely shirt too.
An odd creation. Thighs like steel hawsers. A homo erotic quality to it. And now seemingly consigned to the groundsman's shed.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...d-has-no-interest-in-watford-or-west-ham-move Still deluded enough to think he’s good enough for a top team
"Even if he was to leave the Serie A club, Cuadrado's preference is to move to another of Europe's top teams, according to a source." Game on then !
Thank goodness, absolute atrocious player who is nowhere near good enough for us. One of those players that you stand amazed how he ever even became a professional football player in the first place.
