On his current form he should certainly be in the squad. No way are there 3 better English keepers than Foster right now.
Problem is Hartlepool is still in the County Durham District cup competition so no call up please until they are out!
I see the pundits on MOTD last night were full of praise for Ben, suggesting he is the best English keeper around.
Reading up it seem he took a break under the Capello era - has he been re-called since? https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...ed-as-foster-takes-england-break-2282544.html Doubt it went down very well..
They also said he was our POS, as if they have a clue who the rest of our team are, let alone who is our POS Another thing the Sky commentator said Holebas tried to deliberately step on a Brighton player when he did nothing of the sort, ******* ****
Was a massive fan of TC. I would probably of said the best ever. But Big Ben just keeps getting better. I was very sceptical of the signing in the beginning now he is keeping us in matches on his own. He's definitely papering over cracks to our weak ass defence.
Well only the other week Danny Murphy said Doucouré was - but then he had scored and is a midfielder..
I reckon they are not far off with that, but even though he might end up being our POS, they probably could not name half our players, let alone know who is our POS
No I didn't forget. However now that we can no longer edit our posts after a short period of time has passed, I thought I had better clarify that I was not suggesting that Ben was not in the running for POS in my book, but that I was being critical of the TV commentators saying what they said when probably did not have a clue who else from our team also have a real chance of gaining the POS accolade. Which in retrospect I thought I did not make clear in my original post.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1113392900199596032 Seen playing games and eating sh1t on his birthday. Happy 36th Ben.
At the very least he needs to be on the bench. This isn't a game we want Pontus getting thrown into for his debut.
I've got this horrible vision of gomes fluffing a kick straight to one of their forwards who then slots past him with aplomb. Foster MUST start.
As others have said if Big Ben does not start on Sunday he should definitely be on the bench, just in case Gomes were to get injured, as it would indeed not be fair to him or the team to throw Dahlberg into such a high profile game.
Why would we not play our possible player of the season in an FA cup semi? It seems bonkers to even contemplate.
Tell me about it Steve, I was living in Plymouth at the time and I travelled up to the game with a work colleague in his car who was a Spurs fan. The only good thing about the day was at least I had an excuse for the 4-1 defeat on the long journey home thanks to that clown Plumley.
Is it possible that Foster will have played his last game for us before Gomie? 2 howlers in a row, not taking responsibility for them & the Olsen fellow in the wings.
