I know we are all very focused on the SF at the moment, but it's 2 weeks away and we have important PL games during that time. It looks as though we may see some unfamiliar faces in the opposition line up next Saturday...... https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...y-woes-after-belgium-withdrawal-a4099211.html
Nah, the big clubs are just making excuses to get their players out of pointless fixtures against the likes of Cyprus. Rashford was in dire need of a rest, and I very much doubt that Lukaku's "injury" is anything serious - I'd wager that both will play vs us.
Interesting to see if Javi rotates before Fulham & the semi. Normally, you’d ink in a collapse in results but I think JG is made of sterner stuff.
I think we’ve all forgotten we’re Watford so in classic tradition, if Lukaku is injured, Sanchez will come in and despite being gash for the last 3 years will somehow put in a worldie and score a hattrick. Getting players/teams out of a slump, it’s what we do. Don’t let the relevant lack of this this season blind you to the inevitable.
We're outsiders for sure, but it's definitely a less difficult game than Abu Dhabi away. A few changes would be good, but not wholesale
Relatively speaking, compared to the Leicester and Palace games recently, this is a game I can sit back and enjoy! I mean, as important as it is, a draw or a win would be a bonus. Wolves' game with Burnley is arguably just as important as that's definitely a game they're expecting to win. Would be just like them to **** up though!
Id take a point. If Wolves lose to Billy Goat's flock its a poi t level with them again. Going to see changes, I can see a full strengh vs Fulham with players vying for places for the semi. But when do we get anything off Manure away? Wolves are looking at this fixture knowing we are shyte vs the bjg six. They can pull away from us so we need to keep after them. Hopefully the ginger winger can do us a big favor. 0-2
Tricky call this one - in terms of who to play that is - had a week off so raring to go, yet a better chance of points on Tuesday, but then the semi on the Sunday. Luckily I don’t have to make the call and Javi has got most of these decisions correct this year. Interesting to see who plays.
JG might see the game at OT as a perfect preparation for the SF. Away from home, big stadium, tough opponent. He could start with his preferred XI and rest one or two against Fulham.
To complete the analogy, I'll watch from the cricket ground, half a mile down the road. Dress rehearsal!
This is the most likely scenario. Fulham could feature Quina, Cleverly and (if fit?) Chalobah in midfield with Peneranda, Sema and Success/ Gray up top. There is goal potential in this game to get these guys match fit. Some will be needed for the run in so give them an opportunity after the United game but play our strongest 11 at the weekend.
I think we'll win this based on three facts: 1/ solskjaer is **** and out of his depth. 2/ their team is **** 3/ we are ace
Are any of our players in danger of missing the SF through suspension if they get booked against either Man U or Fulham?
No, the cup competitions and the league do not interfere with each other in terms of yellow cards. I think that after the QF any yellows are wiped so that if a player is booked in the SF they don't miss the final. However if a player does get sent off in the semi, they will miss the final.
We got Atwell for this one. Let's hope Bannister is the linesman. Not been seen at a Watford match since 2014 and I've missed not being able to cheer goal kicks as goals. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ter-united-will-be-refereed-by-stuart-atwell/
Well both us and wolves have 3 big teams left to play (we both have Man U and arsenal , we have Chelsea they have liverpool) Probably need to pick up at least 1 draw from the three games to match wolves, but suspect that Chelsea will be the easier of the three No idea on score if everybody turns up we having a fighting chance , would love to see us back in 7th after Fulham game but realistically that means we need a draw against Man U and give Fulham a kicking for goal difference
