Rangers were awarded four penalties on Saturday, scoring three of them. In my view not a single one of them was a correct decision. Two dives, one foul outside the box and one handball outside the box. Awful officiating; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/scotland/47111185
Christ. Awful decisions. I'd read Gerrard said he agreed the second wasn't a foul but Defoe wasn't claiming a penalty and these things happen. Having seen it now it's a clear attempt to deceive the ref, but so pathetic even Defoe tried to abort half way down to the ground.
I think maybe the third one is ok but 2 and 4 are dreadful. If that was a Watford match HB1 would have exploded
Four penalties in one game. Wasn’t that a hit for Crowded House? I heard Michael Oliver has ordered a recording of the match. No doubt he’ll watch it when he’s on his own with a box of tissues handy. Talking of ***** officials, did anyone see that linesman in the West Ham v Liverpool match last night? He got absolutely every decision wrong. I thought he was on a wind up.
I would say that usually refs are loath to give multiple penalties to the same side because of the type of controversy the ref at the Rangers match has got himself into! Obviously comes from the Attwell school of referees
And yet Klopp still complained when they scored from one and almost won with that late chance at the end! Defoe wasn't done for diving for think its the 2nd one which hasn't gone down well in Scotland as lesser players have been banned.
