    I think the fact that you have been a fan for 10 years explains your view. However for those who have been fans for longer the rivalry is bitter. In 2 seasons' time we may well be back in the same league and you can experience it too. The rivalry with Muff will last another season or two and then disappear. Southend and Brentford were our bitter rivals for a season or two back in the late 70s, now they are both just another club.

    Can't understand why anyone would want any other team. Our season is going to be dull as anything, there'll be a few bright spots amongst weeks of mediocrity. We won't win anything and we won't get relegated.

    If we draw these arseholes tonight, will be the best part of a month of build up that will at least give a bit of interest to the season. And if people don't want to play them when we are so much better than them, when do they want to play them?

    Finally, it would be an excellent opportunity to boo Gray when he rattles in a hat trick and then does that thing where he refuses to celebrate.

    I wouldn’t give a flying **** if he ripped his shirt off and revealed a huge tattoo of him in a L*ton shirt p1ssing on a Watford shirt.

    He’s scored the goal. We’ve won the game. That’s the most important thing. Gray can be as disrespectful as he wants after that - folk hero for life.

    We were eclipsed as the top Ford by Brentford in the mid 30s & Oxford in the 80s but you hear much about those these days.
