Moose and deer don't mingle much in Herts due to being separate species?

This Alvarado fellow sounds like talent which has been stockpiled in some outpost of the Pozzo empire.

I can see this being even more divisive than the Black Shorts/Red Shorts episode.

    Forum schism?

I’ve got it, swap to a black and white kit, call us The Badgers. We all know that badgers are fierce, feared by all and Watford fans have a history of being badger affectionados.

There is a even ready made song that rookery we can bounce to:

Either that or we become The Cheeses.

If we’re going black and white we need to rebrand as the Honeybadgers.

Obviously you've not met his mother. She's not letting him come out to play. He probably sassed her or something.

And Barry the Badger is a smooth transition.

If we went cheeses, rather a number, maybe we could depict a cheese on the shirt.

We could debate who should play the Cambazola role.

    Or simply, the cheese role.

Now I like this, yes, I like this a lot.
Did not want to vote in the poll as I think our current badge is quite decent, and would not like to see it changed to something horrible.
If the vote was to change to this though, I would definitely vote in favour.

Surprisingly thorough and accurate, some of our own fans could learn a thing or two! But yeah the pronunciation.. "West Hurts club" and "Hurt-ford-shire"

Gave me an idea though.. forget changing the badge, change the name of the club to Watford Hurts. Seems fitting to me.

We could go down the Rugby League and Cricket route and call ourselves Watford "Hornets" I suppose, then we could use the "Hornet " style badge shown in Leighton Buzzers post #120 just two up from this one.

That could work for the corporate image that the club are trying to promote overseas and at home?

    Just a thought

He’d certainly picked up on our local rivalry.

I'm leaning towards changing it, though I'd still want to keep the general shape of the current badge. It looks distinct compared to most other club badges in design and colour, but no matter how hard you squint and try to justify it, having a Hart on the badge compared to a hornet makes little sense.

Watford Hornets? No no and thrice no.
Remember how the Hull City fans where up in arms about not wanting to be changed to Hull Tigers.
We are not an American baseball or football team, and I for one don't want us to sound like one.

With regards to enhancing our global proposition, it’s not about our badge being recognisable but being appealing.

A logo can be both recognisable and crap, many people throughout the world may recognise the Watford badge but wouldn’t necessarily want to wear it.

If the club can come up with a badge that people want to wear on merchandise then this will help to enhance our global proposition.

I’m necessarily saying I agree with it but it’s not just about having a recognisable logo.
