Yes you can say what you like as you so clearly often do. And I can also disagree with it, especially when it is complete nonsense. And what is your obsession with PMing ? Its a football forum, for god sake. You re acting like the school milk monitor who gets upset when the other kids take the p1ss out of you.
Obsession? I’m trying to being polite to other users rather than clog up threads falling out with you. You response a moment ago was to tell me not to clog up a thread with nonsense. So my request for you was to privately tell me whatever your issue is? Because it quite clearly lies on your side of the fence, not mine. You are quite correct. It’s a football forum. And I was discussing football. You can disagree with my opinions, I have no issue with that at all. I do however have issues with you believing you can dictate what I say. It’s amusing to me how you have likened yourself to a kid who just takes the piss out of someone. Because your behaviour is exactly that - childish. So allow me to indulge in childish behaviour for a moment - you say I ‘so clearly OFTEN say what I like’. You have posted over 13,000 times with a little over 1,500 likes. Myself, I have posted just over 3,700 times with a little under 2,800 likes. You don’t need to be a mathematician to calculate who is more likely posting things of little value or appreciation from other forum members. And your volume of posts compared to me? Quite a difference really. I won’t be responding to you again because you clearly just enjoy trying to wind people up from the safety of your computer screen. Pathetic really.
How very dare you! Rookery ever since it became the home end again in’99. Non-1881, but sing when appropriate.
Clearly too young for "Different Strokes". Which is strange because your general vernacular is of an old, humourless, condescending know it all. I suggest you put me on ignore as Im about to do the same, as you have become very tiresome.
Was it not you who chose to engage me on this thread? You could have just not bothered and saved yourself the effort of finding me 'tiresome'. I read your posts on this forum and you know what I find it easier to do? Just ignore them, rather than reply to posts that clearly weren't aimed at me. Perhaps one day you'll realise you started this whole strange issue you have with me, not the other way around. And I'm 34. So 'clearly' another of your assumptions about me is wrong. Bye now.
No idea what I was talking about and no time to read the thread again. I have a daiquiri to finish on the beach at Anakao Madagascar. I'm sure it made sense at the time. You horns
Bit puzzled by what Gino's playing at here. Apparently Alacer has been allowed by the Pozzos to join Dortmund from Barca: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46321695 I guess it's some sort of convoluted deal that will eventually see him or another player sign for us instead. No doubt they won't have anything to do with Dortmund or Barca. Gotta keep our rivals off the scent. Clever Gino!
Perhaps it clears the way for Jadon Sancho's loan deal to end and his return home... Who will be sacrificed from the squad to make way for him though?
It's just to increase his value. The Pozzo takeover at Dortmund is at the ink drying on the forged letter stage.
What are the Pozzos doing . We let him slip through our hands just like Ronaldo in the summer . If we don’t get Hazard in Jan then I think we need to take a long look at our ownership structure .
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...d-25m-loan-buy-deal-striker-Paco-Alcacer.html Dortmund willing to let him go on loan with option to buy for £25m in the summer. Newcastle and Valencia interested... Be good to see us revive our interest IMO. If we could offload Gray and Success, it should also be affordable.
Apparently he did not want to come last time. Would be a very decent signing if it could be pulled off and he adjusts quickly. Gray and Success at this point are dwindling assets that need removing.
Would be gutted if he went to the toon. Quality player and at a very good price for Spanish international.
He probably wants out as he's not happy sitting on the bench at Dortmund - would he really move to us to be in the same situation?
Yep. However, now he is available again, it would show the player that we have real desire to have him if we entered the race again. Depending on the character of the player, that type of chase can be attractive I bet. That being said, a return to Valencia would surely be his first choice - and as much as they criticise him, every now and then, Mike Ashley dips his hand into his pocket.
I mean, there is absolutely no way he should be sitting on our bench should we somehow acquire him. That being said, the point you make is the one I’ve been saying for the past 18 months. Deeney is captain. He is immovable. And I think we now have a manager who strengthens that thought, rather than weaken it. Pearson is a manager to embolden Deeney further. I honestly don’t think we will get a new starting striker for a couple of years at least. He will get a contract extension at some stage too I’d bet. The club will move on from Deeney when he decides.
He didn’t want to come to us before this terrible season started. With us now sitting in 19th, I couldn’t imagine his mind has been changed
My comment was slightly tongue in cheek, but it does appear that Nige sees Deeney as a key part of the starting XI. It's also not just about Alcacer being a clearly higher standard player than Deeney though, he is a very different type of striker, largely a poacher, not much use at holding the ball up or in build-up play. He would give us something different, but it might mean having to change how we set up in order to accommodate him as the starting striker (whether that would be alongside Deeney or even just instead of him). Given that Nige also has seemed pretty consistent in his tactics used with us I'd be surprised if he would want significantly shift things around at this stage of the season. This discussion is pretty irrelevant though as he'll surely end up at Valencia anyway.
Has he got an attitude problem or just not good enough at the elite level? I thought he started really well at Dortmund no?
