I don't agree. It's not madness to tweak a few positions. I've only said two players, you've added in Gray, but I've not said him at all. He's vital in the way we play right now and we have no alternative for him, so he has to play.

Ok.....yes, but that's further down the line. Deulofeu will need to be drip fed into the side over a few weeks. He cannot go straight in just yet.

Once he's 90 minute ready, that will probably be mid to late October.

It's a tough call. Do we change 4-4-2 or do we change to 4-5-1. So depending on formation, it will probably be Hughes or Gray to be dropped. But like I say, it's a decision for 4 or 5 weeks down the line.

I thought Hughes was our man of the match yesterday, certainly among the forward players.

If we go to 4-5-1 now it will stall our season.

Id play Okaka, Deeney, Gray and Success up top.

Pereyra and Deolefeu on flanks with Chal, Doucs and Hughesie in middle.

That leaves Kabasele as lone CB and Foster in goal/sweeper.

On the bench Id have only keepers and youth players, just to show opposition we really dont give a fxck.

A lot of opposition fans would have been in the past and some still would be interested in taking Deeney off our hands as he is and certainly has been a standout performer!

I meant as genuine finishers. Ighalo had that ability for 18 months and Vydra had this during his first season with us.

I think we ended the match against United with a formation similar to that.

This is a classic. Garth Crooks team of the week included David de Gea, with this explanation...

David de Gea made a wonderful save from a corner in the dying minutes of the game against Watford, a match-winning effort from a Christian Kabasele header that, had it gone in, would have given Watford a rather undeserved point.

So we'd have gained an undeserved point but you put the Man Utd keeper in your team of the week? Then under that was this stat...

Did you know? David de Gea saved four of Watford's five shots on target, as many saves as in his previous three Premier League matches combined.

So that's why he put De Gea in to the team of the week, but then how would our point have been undeserverd?

    Utter tw*t.

Unfortunately there are too many pundits with default opinions. They just focus on the bigger clubs, and anything else is not worth considering. It's a shame. I wish they employed people that have a real interest in the game, with a broad knowledge and unbiased and considered point of view.

No consideration is given to the fact that United are the richest club on the planet, having the biggest advantage of any club in the world. They should be winning everything, every season. Watford have to compete against that, but are viewed like they are a club that shouldn't even be there in the first place.

Ian Wright and Danny Murphy are probably the only two that are consistently fair and honest with their appraisal. Everyone else just trot out the same old lines. On Saturday, the flutter brained reporter said Watford had 19 managers in the past 4 seasons. I know it's been a few, but I'm not sure it's that many......still why let the truth get in the way of their put-down agenda.

For the record, since June 2015 after our promotion, Watford have had 4 managers/coaches. Leicester have had 5, Southampton 3, West Ham 3, Everton 5, Palace 4 etc. So we are the same as plenty of clubs, but are the only ones with the "hire and fire" reputation. You see, they push whatever agenda they like and it sticks.

    What a light weight. Can
I think that is exactly right. We the fans should not be slating Gray at the moment because he is doing a decent job to the best of his abilities and the team are winning. I would take that any day vs. a more clinical striker who hasn't got the personal attributes to deliver the best he can as that drains those around him.

But to be a secure top half team we will need to strengthen when the right opportunity comes.

Having said that both Gray and Deeney do have 2 goals from 5 games and that is statistically on track for 15 each this season if they remain injury/suspension free. Looking how they are playing I can't see either failing to hit double figures with 15 a reasonable target for each.

Just watched the extended highlights. I always find it helpful when analysing what I watched live. Of course angles are usually much better.

First half was not quite as one sided as my initial impression suggested. We were in it until around the 30 minute mark. This is when United upped the tempo and found gaps in our defence. Foster made three good saves in this period, plus their two goals. I will note that Janmaat was poor with the second goal. He just did not get close enough to Smalling. Also, soon after that he allowed Pogba to drift in behind, which forced an excellent save from Foster.

Second half was all Watford, apart from a couple of breakaway United attacks. Just before we scored, we should have been awarded a penalty. No one picked up on it at the time. It was a corner, where Deeney was being clearly held by Smalling, and Kabasele headed over. Seeing as it was Mike Dean, I'm really surprised he didn't give this. This is the type of challenge he loves giving penalties for. Had he given it, no one could have complained, and he may even received praise for an excellent spot.

Pereyra also got clipped on the edge of the penalty area and he never gave this either. I quite like Dean as a ref, but he was poor on Saturday.

Our only failing was we didn't create enough when on top. This goes down to my earlier comments that we lack that little bit of quality to turn pressure into chances. Having said that, it's not escaped me that we've scored 10 from 5 games, which is of course excellent.

Small details always dictate matches. Our right back didn't get tight enough, the referee didn't give a couple of decisions, their keeper made a great last minute save etc. Games are made up of moments, and you need to have a majority go your way in any match in order to win. Saturday it wasn't to be, but the spirit and fight in the second half was fantastic. What we need to do now, is find out why the majority of our first halves are so subdued. There's a marked contrast between the two in every match.

That guy is as mad as a box of frogs. But he is still ahead of Merson who hasn't a clue as he does not appear to watch any of the games lately.
