He may be irritating when he goes on&on&on&on&on about Luton but there's no need to call RC that.

Even by their standards they seem to have a real problem with hooligans and far-right groups, it's getting close to Millwall levels

Way past time that disgrace of a supposed "club" was dissolved and consigned to the dustbin of history.

What a terrible shame they ever managed to slime their way back in to the football league.

"all prejudice – whether that be political, religious, cultural or racial – can and should be left for another day."
"temporarily overlook those views for a couple of hours or so when attending Luton Town matches in future"

Not - "should not be tolerated under any circumstances", but please leave your racism/bigotry and general f***wittedness at home for a few hours and then feel free to indulge it elsewhere.

It’s almost as if they are a bunch of racist Neanderthals.

It’s just a grudge though that we dislike them.

A 30 year old grudge nothing to do with the forces of good, right thinking people against a bunch of antisocial pricks

And let us never forget that they stole clive’s Scarf.
Or that the only time I’ve been disappointed by fish and chips was when I had some there at the age of 10

The dirty, soggy chip eating Bedfordshire scummers

It’ll happen maybe not this season, maybe not the next but one day we will play them again. And all those too young to have experienced playing the filth will realise

As a rival town, it's the gift that keeps on giving:

    Right wing extremists
    Islamic extremists
    High levels of poverty
    Gun crime all the rage
    Ugly and run down
    Hated around the country

And of course their only period of success on the football pitch in living memory was down to cheating with a plastic pitch and away fans ban.

Funny you should mention that. I was just looking at their forum and saw this post from one of the simpletons. The mind boggles what the content of the vile songs its referring to are:

    "Tommy songs

Posted by Dp on 16/8/2018, 9:37:46

I have no opinion on this but what about the songs we sing about elton john, pellys weapon, tony thorpe mother etc are they accepted by gs"

44 years of trying and they still aren't any closer to getting a new ground!

With fans like they have its probably no surprise the locals are up in arms about them moving into the centre of Luton.

Even Nathan Jones had a little pop about Luton saying not many people like to come shopping here and just pass through!

I used to have dozens of L*t*n programmes from the 50s (given to me not bought!). When they were in the old Div. 1 then, they were mithering on then in their notes about getting a new ground - so it's nearly 70 years of trying. They save up for the new ground, don't spend enough on players and go down through the leagues, then can't find anywhere to move to, so then they spend what they've saved on players, rise up again, and decide that they need a new ground, start saving again - and so the circle closes. Of course when they spend what they haven't saved - that's when they go into admin, only 3 times.

When will they take a hint, that their town doen't like or want them.......?

Tuned into 3 Counites Radio on the way home this afternoon and caught some of their commentary. I was pleased to hear them to concede a penalty to Peterborough before conceding a second goal two minutes later. They are now 3 goals down and second from bottom in the third division.

I might tune in again after 90 minutes to hear the scummers calling for the managers head. That’ll cheer me up.

Shouldn’t take the piss really, that league has some true football heavyweights like Fleetwood, Accrington and Burton

They are doing well for a non-league team

    Top flight seasons:
Luton 16 Watford 12 (5 more years and we win with the pozzos that’ll happen by say 2025 is my guess)
    They win but it’ll change

    Best top flight finish
    Luton 7th Watford 2nd
    We win

    FA cup
Luton finalists once, semi 4 times
Watford finalists once, semi 6 times
    (We win)

    League cup:
    Luton winners once, finalists once
    Watford semi twice
    They win

    Europe
    Luton...
    Watford 3rd round UEFA
We win they were excluded as their fans are thugs

    Head to head
    Luton 53
    Watford 36
They win but the mitigation is that we haven’t played them since 2006 as they are rubbish.

    Conclusion
It’s fairly even. If we win a domestic cup and stay in the prem for 5 more seasons the only thing they have on us is head to head. but if they aren’t good enough to play us in 20 years it kind of makes that point invalid

Some desperate scummer clutching at the thinnest of straws with this one:

    https://twitter.com/RegularCraig/status/1032185871313846274

For younger fans that might not be aware - the scum's prolonged spell in the top flight was built on the back of the huge home advantage they gave themselves by installing a plastic pitch (nothing like the modern ones used today) and banning all away fans due to Millwall supporters rearranging the kennel during a game in 1985.

In season 90/91, when away fans were finally allowed back into the shittiest stadium of all time, they promptly finished 18th in a league of 20 - yet were saved by the fact that only 2 teams were relegated that season due to a size restructuring of the divisions.

The following season the plastic pitch was banned by the football league, which meant they were now without any of their unfair advantages and thus forced to compete on an even keel.

Playing on the same surface as every other team, plus having away supporters cheer their sides on saw the scummers finish 20th out of 22. And this time, 3 teams were relegated so there was no technicality to save them.

    They haven't been back since.

Winning a trophy is a pretty fat straw I'd say.

Until we win one we'll never come out on top of those sort of exchanges.

He had to bring that one out due to the idiocy of his opening tweet about goals scored at premier league grounds. And the cup year came during their period of huge home advantage - some of their home ties could well have finished different had they been playing to the same conditions as everyone else.

But yes - we really need to win a trophy.
