They've reduced the price down for kids in the Family Stand this season, which might potentially encourage us to attend one or two more games (if we can get tickets). However the ultimate bad planning is to have the family stand right next to the away support.

TBF I *think* these are just the "unsold" family stand "on the day" tickets. From when I've bought them, I was told they do not "openly" advertise the seat availability at all (you coldn't buy online only directly through the ticket office) - my son was issued a fan id (instantly) and we were given seats amongst, I'm assuming, a great many ST holders. Incidently although I was sitting in the "wrong side" of VR the leaking roof brought back happy memories of standing in the rain under the scoreboard...

I think we were all a bit apprehensive before yesterday, but it was odd watching the Soccer Saturday preview of our game. Merson ‘fears for us’ but when asked about Brighton struggling this season they all unanimously said they’d be absolutely fine and wouldn’t be near the relegation places. I think a lot of pundits automatically pick us to struggle because they want/expect us to so if they say it every season eventually they might be right once.

I think that for the clubs outside of the top 6 the so-called pundits directly correlate spending to survival chances. However it clearly doesn't work like that; our owners have obviously been of the view that they will not overpay for a player no better than we already have and that once the injured return our squad will be strong enough. Cardiff have spent next to nothing and will most probably go down but Fulham & Brighton have spent a fair amount but it doesn't mean they were all good buys.

Good question. She's not much of a looker, so I'd steer clear of her head - whatever else presents itself I suppose.

Bit like the Daily Express annually predicting the hottest summer ever. Eventually they're likely to be right and will shout from the rooftops how astute they are whilst ignoring all the times they were full of it. Let's just hope this isn't the time for the pundits who predict doom to be right in the same way we finally did have that summer.

Only just getting round to this, but what an enjoyable performance. More of that please!

Dominated the game through control of the ball in smart areas, very rarely exposed ourselves or made significant mistakes which is a change.

Gray and Deeney played well making the space for Pereyra/Hughes to move into, whilst Capoue had a good August game for him. Very rare for Holebas to be that consistently accurate with crosses, so will enjoy it for now until he hits Tarkowski every time next week.

Slightly deflated as I'd expected a bigger (less fewer ?) margin of victory so there's room for improvement.

No. You’re all wrong Brighton have improved.
Improved I tell you while we have stood still and the pozzos wouldn’t get their cheque book out.
The only way to do well is to spend massive amounts of stupid money on new players it shows ambition. This must be done properly in the transfer window so Geoff and Merse have something to talk about.
What the hell do these Johnny come lately pozzos know about running a football club anyway ?

Seems a pretty fair article to me ? They were shocking. We are tipped for relegation. Their sub did look useful. The only thing he doesn't address is why Hughton didn't feel confident enough to start with the new additions on the pitch rather than the bench.
