I liked him when he broke in to the team in Zola's first season. Since then it's been one injury after another. Feel for the guy, he's been really unlucky and he seems like a nice bloke too.
Unbelievably bad lack. Just can't comprehend it! How many injuries has this poor guy had in recent years?
Started at LB for Aberdeen tonight and played the full 90 as they held Burnley to a 1-1 draw in their first leg of the Europa League. Twitter seems to suggest he had a solid debut too. Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
You may have to define 'Watford lad'... Ken Sema played in the Europa League for *stersunds FK last season.
The lad is a proper lad and played like a lad last night the #lad against the real lad Dychey. He's a LAD.
If you remember he had a serious injury 12/13. The docs told him at the time that it is likely he won't play again. Done well to come back from that, even if it is as an out of position fill in for pre season lower mid table hopefuls.
Is it out of position? I seem to remember him as a left back for us. Wasn't there some bizarre stat that over sprint tests, Hoban was the fastest player at the club?
Yes. Luckily the tests were run in the fortnight that he was fit over the last 4 years. I suspect he would have failed a painkiller drugs test for that reason and that may have helped his record time. Sadly he tripped over a dock leaf after the tape and spent the next 2 years back in the fitness room.
Ashley Barnes is a nasty piece of work. Pushes the defender into his own keeper which pole axes the keeper. No attempt to play the ball. 5 mins later cork scores and he gives it the big one in front of Aberdeen fans. Proper goading of the away fans.
Burnley embarassing the country as they huff and hoof past this Aberdeen team. But hope they go through. 120 minutes in their legs this early in the season isn't going to do them any good at all.
Its how he always plays. He never competes for the ball, he just jumps into the opposition player to make sure neither of them win it, and then picks up the pieces of what's left. The referee never picks him up for it. It's therefore effective but to me the ref should be picking this up as much as they try and spot diving.
So will they be knackered or more match fit than us? Not sure if this UEFA thing is a good or bad thing. I think traditionally the club's start well but fade towards the end of the season. "Richarlison" syndrome.
SSN saying they haven't made a signing yet this summer. Plus they're away in Istanbul on transfer deadline day.
Dyche's transfer targets are pretty limited. Must have slogged it out in the Championship, must be British (preferably northern), must be a **** etc.
Not a chance they can reproduce what they achieved last season so he's getting excuses in early. Time to move on but not sure where he could go ....?
