Does anyone else think Silva is using the whole "I have been assured no player will leave this January" as a rather stupid trick. IE: when players leave he has a reason to agitate and therefore hasten his departure. Its also a good excuse if we end up going down with his line being that he had no control. I think he thinks he is being very clever.
I believe him to be as trustworthy as a fox in the chicken house, albeit a fox wearing a whopping great watch around his front paw!
Was this ( as Captain Blackadder said ) the Fox who has just been appointed professor of cunning at oxford university
"Fox snake or foxsnake is the common name given to some Portuguese rat snakes of the genus Silvaophis."
That's the chap! Just saw him trotting down the road,on my return from the club, with an egg in his mouth! The fox, that is,not Rowan Atkinson!
Hello Tim, Ming here from China Thank you so much for your kind words about my mini Mings, your warmth really is much appreciated. I am sorry to sour the mood but I must bring to your urgent attention the behaviour of our fellow ITKer Jim. I refer you to the Nicolás Gaitán thread. I hesitate to say this, but I fear he may have gone rogue. Whether this is at the behest of his sources or not I am not sure, but he would appear to be posting unverified information. Please get in touch ASAP. Thank you for your kind attention.
Just sounds like an adaptation of the Holebas manoeuvre where a players arrival is announced before the club’s know.
I am well confused about the situation. Wouldn't it be well funny if we said no to Veles Sarsfeld and then loaned him to their rivals in Argentinias 2nd division, Ferro Carril Oeste (Wiki searched). That would piss off the stupid confetti launching Veles fans
Supposedly a done deal to sell him to Velez. According to the Argentinian press and translate.com we should be getting £2mil for him. According to them Gino and their club president have met, all has been agreed and Zarate will be a Velez player.
Shame...liked Zarate. Great close skills and showed passion and commitment. Would have liked to have seen more of him, but for that injury against wet spam. Wish him well at his new club.
Assuming the chicken house in question was a boxlike structure, I believe this to be the origin of the epidemic.
Pitch invasions included, I've spent more time on the hallowed Vic turf than Zarate but good luck to him. The missus seems to have misplaced her sensible polo neck.
I heard RA give a reading in a Nine Lessons and Carols Service a few years back. He didn’t use “that” voice. Nor, sadly, did he do this: Anneka Rice also gave a reading. Disappointingly, I didn’t get a shufti at her arse.
More fabric used on Gussie Moran's frilly knickers, courtesy of the marvellous Teddy Tinling, than on that garment!
I see Tinling is billed as tennis player, fashion designer, spy & author on wiki. A unique cv, I would think. Edit. He designed Mrs JM Lloyd’s wedding dress as an hommage to Moran’s underwear.
He was an extraordinary man. I met him outside Centre Court in about 1984. As he featured significantly in one of my favourite books, Gordon Forbes 'A Handful of Summers',I decided to approach him. He was a big man,6'4" possibly taller, with a pink suit, bald head and an enormous diamond stud earing. I asked him if he had news of Abe Segal,Forbes long term Davis Cup team mate and doubles partner. That lit the touch paper and he was off on a five minute monologue! I had never met him before but he treated me as if I was an old friend! Remarkable character. He was no more than a club player I think but he did open a spring with a serve!* * Read AHoS and its sequel 'Too soon To Panic'.
Lots of reports now saying he's turned down a late offer from Boca Juniors to sign a three year deal for Velez. No, I don't really care either but there seems to be a dearth of interesting rumours at the moment so might as well post someth... zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Liked not for the rumour but for the way it was delivered. Like a postman delivering the post halfway through my letterbox, folded.
