He's got to be careful with all those bracelets, they may restrict his blood-flow which (if he's not careful) will keep him out of the game for a further 3 months
The most exciting, exotic, dazzling, glamorous squad we've ever had and this kid gets.........cleverley on the back of his shirt FFS
His birthday today. Only 27? Same age as Hazard who I thought was 23/24. Make or break time for Pereyra's legacy!
A decent performance against the gooners, flashes of his quality against the scousers, followed by another encouraging display on Saturday - is he finally getting back to his best? Hopefully he can go on to finish the season strongly as the player we all hoped he'd be. Perhaps it's no coincidence that his last three decent games have come against teams that actually play football instead of anti football * la Allardyce/Pardew et al. With the quality he has plus the encouraging signs coming from Hughes, the brilliance of Doucoure and Chalobah on his way back - we really do have a top class midfield. If only the defence were similar.
Has he beaten a man since Christmas.......2016. Has he got a cross in this year? He's sh*te, let's stop beating about the bush.
The vaguest of vague suggestions Pereyra may be on the move in the Da*ly Ma*l today by Harry Slavin. In the match report Slavin, on the back of questioning Gracia being at WFC next season, says Roberto '..appears to be playing himself into a move this summer.' As I say it's overwhelmingly vague but they have had some knowledge in the past with regards to transfers. Deeney is also quoted as saying 'They're [Pozzo/Duxbury etc.] never happy settling for what they've got.' about the future of Gracia.
I was thinking that clubs will be sniffing around. If we have to lose one of Doucoure or RP I'd rather it was AD.
It is a bit like the Doucoure situation, very good player, but we do have other players in that area. Wouldn't want to get rid even if we got sillybollocks money though tbf, Hughes is class but injury prone, plus he can play out wide
On his day he can be absolutely unplayable. Unfortunately his injuries have meant that we have not seen the best of him. Seems to be really improving at the moment, could be huge for us next season. However for silly money we would have to sell, particularly with his known injury issues.
He played there a few times either side of New Year and the games just passed him by and he kept getting subbed early in the second half. I can't remember if he was fully fit or not, and the whole team were rancid by that point anyway but I think he might be better out wide where it's less important if he flits in and out of the game. If I had to choose between him or Hughes for the central role, I'd go for Hughes as whenever he's played there, he demands the ball and tries to make the game tick. I've never seen that from Pereyra, whose best performances have all come out wide. Still, great player to watch and good to see him return to form under Gracia.
