No one has to write cryptic clues for the Grauniad. The lack of sub editors and their propensity for 'spilling arrows' means any clue will need Alan Turin to decipher!
Isn't he on a five year contract already? At 20 that's like an eternity. Get a mega bid for him and his gone regardless if it's five or fifteen years contract.
I think he needs a goal, that would do him far more good than a week off, though he probably deserves and needs both.
Ricky or his agent looking for a move? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/16070318.richarlison-watford-winger-discusses-desire-for-financial-security-and-earning-new-opportunities/?ref=rss
How to get the fans onside, by Richarlison. 1. Don't score for 20 games 2. Throw a strop when subbed after yet another wretched performance 3. Complain that £20k a week isn't enough
Yeah, I have to say, this bloke is slowly sliding from hero to zero with me. Needs to stiffen up his lip, comport himself with a little more dignity, stay on his feet a bit more and not be such a bloody glory hunter all the time.
It was always said from the start the Silva was the main reason Ricky joined the club but I kind of dismissed it as some kind of show off thing - but it seems clear now that he is far less happy without him here. Which is pathetic really when you consider how much better the team is doing. If he doesn't buck up his ideas and change his attitude I say we let him go if a decent fee comes in.
If Richy is still upset about Boa Con Silva getting pumped then he needs to realise that it actually snakey who let him down not the club. However I don’t read that into the situation, I think he’s finding the Premier League tough at the moment and he’s disappointed with his own performance. I think he puts the effort in but it’s just not working for him.
Somebody needs to tell Richarlison that he has achieved **** all so far and he is looking like a bigger idiot day by day with all of his strops and interviews. Granted I am sure that much of his poor form is due to playing a May-May season, but even so it is wise to let your football do the talking, and his football is currently very, very quiet. Achieve something first, angle for a move later. Doing well for six weeks doesn't count. We could have sold him in December and it would have had absolutely zero impact on our season since then.
Give the lad a break! He's young, he's a long way from home, he does not speak our language very well, and he's probably knackered too. Now we are looking fairly good for survival we could probably afford to mainly use him from the bench, and only if really needed. Then once we are definitely safe it might not be a bad idea to let him go back home to Brazil for a long holiday, even before the season is over. Then hopefully, after a long rest from football, followed by a good pre-season, he will be ripping up trees next season,
Imperative that Agent ‘Uncle’ Heurelho takes Richie Boy on as his first client. He just needs to calm him down. Or Mrs Gomes to do the same care of her strawberry bj or whatever it was called.
I flew over Brazil last year. Large country, beautiful country. (Trump voice.) Lotta trees left. Like people say ‘Oh all of England’s tarmaced over. Oh for village greens’. You fly into Gatwick & all you see for infinite distance is fields & swimming pools.
Showed at the start of the season what he’s capable of when confident and in the right system. However, he has not been playing well for several weeks now. He’s been running down blind alleys, shooting from improbable positions and is visibly losing his composure. He needs a goal to get his head right - but is that a temporary fix? How long until the next dry patch and subsequent decline in performance? I think he should be dropped from the starting eleven for now. He needs to see that the team comes first, no-one’s undroppable and he can’t keep playing so selfishly and remain in the team. I’d be surprised if any big teams still want to buy him. I’d be even more surprised if they valued him as highly as Gino does. We’re going to want to sell based on his early season performances, citing this as an indicator of his ability and expecting that at his age, he has a lot of improvement still to come. Any buyer would base their bid on his overall level this season. That’s why I think, unlike Doucoure who has definitely earned a step up, the only way Richarlison will depart is if he kicks up a fuss.
Nothing wrong with that interview whatsoever. The interviewer asked a question and he answered honestly. It's the answer every single one of us knows to be true: players want to earn more money and obtain financial independence, just like the rest of us. At least he didn't offer some of the usual ******** soundbites like how somewhere is his spiritual home and he loves the fans so money isn't important. Answering an interview question doesn't mean you're angling for a move.
http://sportwitness.co.uk/richarlison-speaks-brazilian-media-lack-respect-shown-gomes-watford/ Interview by Richy about Gomes being left out. Not quite sure if this belongs in Gomes or Richy thread, though as it's from Richy will post it here.
In my opinion, this thing about Richarlison’s form dipping as a result of being tired is crap. If he was physically knackered, wouldn’t the club know? He simply isn’t that good. Yes, he looked better at the beginning of the season when he netted a couple but if you remember, he missed loads of absolute sitters. Sadly, I’m confident Richarlison will remain at the level he’s currently at. If Chelsea or another side are crazy enough to come in with an offer in the region of £15 to £20 mil, hopefully we’ll snap their hands off.
He is not a fit for us. His attitude is so poor, I suspect he will struggle to make it long term. Hopefully we will get some decent money for him this summer. He will be playing lower La Liga in a few years time or perhaps in the Turkish league. Just hope we cash in before he descends to a lower level. Must be a nightmare to manage. I suspect we are not dropping him in the hope that he will find some form for the summer offload.
This is like one of those sitcom episodes where the ming vase they all made a big fuss of, turns out in the end to be a cheap reproduction in the end. But these big clubs aren't the fastest fidget spinners in the toy box. They're awash with money. We should still get a half decent fee for him. Just remember when those jacklegs come on here 'in peace' to ask our opinion about him, we should all squeeze an onion and say he's not for sale at ANY price etc..
Richarlison will get there. At 20 he's still very immature. He needs to learn he can't beat the world on his own. He also needs to learn to vary his game, 9/10 times he tries to cut inside, you can see defenders expecting it and they block him off.... he loses the ball... falls over... rolls about on the floor... etc.
