It could be the making of him though, maybe he can become a maker goals for others, because he can't score them himself.
And rightly so, he's utter garbage. A shame about Deulofeu but considering he would probably not be here next season it's not that big of a loss, much rather player our own players and hopefully Hughes and TC are back soon to slot in.
I can't believe how unquestionably spot on you are on both counts. Gray is utter faeces and as soon as we're as good as safe all loan players should be dropped instantly unless they sign documents stating their desire to sign for us in the summer. Why should we train up ****heads for our rivals like barcelona?
His injury means we are back to the drawing board. Our tactics were centred around Deulefeu's ability to attack the space in behind. Luckily we're so close to safety already, but I think it's going to be a boring final few months of the season if the injury's as bad as stated.
Why do you have to publicly be so mean about Barcelona? What if they read this? Your so horrible. M8.
I can’t see many other choices unless it’s kiko. Carrillo is just a fcking snake who shouldn’t be chosen again and I didn’t see the Belgian kid. I reckon we’ll see Gray play at some point on Saturday as Stefano won’t last more than a half.
I think it'll be Troy starting with Okaka joining from the bench at some point personally. Don't think Gray will get a look in against a West Brom defence sitting on the edge of their box.
Out for a month apparently Shame he misses WBA, but after that Arsenal away and Liverpool away are largely 'free hits' anyway. If we can get him back for Muff, Huddersfield, Burnley, Palace that would be great
As IRB stated above - out for a month according to Italian media: http://www.calcionapoli24.it/brevi/...stato-al-napoli-out-per-circa-un-n347492.html Via google translate: Could just be guesswork though, in which case they've not factored in the Bermuda triangle at London Colney
Seen hobbling out of London Colney with a bandaged noggin. Watford medical team successfully make another wrong diagnosis
People saying we won't see him again because of this injury. Maybe, but I'd be willing to wager there more chance of us getting him permanently now than before. If he'd played every week and managed to somehow get his way back into the Spain squad for the WC (as he has claimed his reasons for joining), then no way would he have stayed. Bigger clubs would have come in. But this injury plays into our hands in the long-term if we want him to stay. Short-term though, I'd still rather he wasn't injured.
Gracia thinks Deulofeu has a stress fracture so based on Britos being out for three months with a bruise I'm pretty sure that's Gerard's career over.
Decent translation. I preferred the weird, Esperanto ones from the Zola season. Taken out by a sniper’s bullet emanating from the WFC dugout? Who knows? Faintly reminiscent of a scene in Mulholland Drive when he shoots the fat woman through the wall. We’re only 40 hours from ko so inappropriate to start a Favourite David Lynch Film element for posts.
Seems to like Deeney more than some forum members Missed his creativeness today, which made it doubly pleasing to see Will Hughes back.
Guy's wearing the training top whilst watching the game at home on his own. He's joining us permanently, no ******* question.
Looks like we've opened discussions about a permanent signing: https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co...ona-watford-gerard-deulofeu-permanent-1312838 Going to be difficult but what a signing that would be if we could pull it off.
How many weeks of the 5 year contract would he actually be fit for? You have to factor this in. Anyway, if he’s the new Scullion, Barca must be the new Chesham Utd.
On the Sky Sports Transfer News section, it’s highlighted an interview Deulofeu has given to ESPN in Spain... DEULOFEU UNSURE ON BARCA RETURN Watford forward Gerard Deulofeu says he is unsure whether he will return to Barcelona at the end of his loan spell. “I see returning to Barca as very difficult," he told Esports COPE. “In the end, I’m the one who should earn [the chance] to play more. I believe in myself more than anyone but I recognise that I have not been regular. “I want to play and be happy, I do not like to be on the bench, like the majority of players. But I told the coach [Ernesto Valverde] when I left on loan ‘much of the blame is mine because you have given me the opportunities that I wanted’. "We will have to speak with Barca and with my agent, but I cannot say what will happen because I don’t know myself. Since I arrived at Watford I [have been] very happy. They have treated me differently, I have been able to play four matches and I was feeling very well. The injury was a shame, but I hope to return soon and be able to play four or five matches before the end of the season.” If we can get him back for the amount of games that he’s suggesting may be possible, that’s a big boost. And he’s hardly demanding that he wants another chance at Barca either. Plow the £13m for Carrillo into a deal for this guy I say...
We should be doing absolutely everything we can to bring him here permanently in the summer. He is one of those players that has the pace, ability and flair to be a game changer at any moment and give even the best sides in the league something to worry about, and also seems to have a very good attitude and an appreciation of the club. He'd also fit the supposed "Pozzo model" in that no matter what we pay for him, he has the potential to be worth more in the next couple of years.
