I'm being driven by a mate who is still doing 'dry January'. I am ashamed to say that my attempt at dry January lasted to about 12.15 on January 1st
where's everyone drinking before? My mate wants to go to the counting house but I'm drawn to here..... http://prince-of-punjab-pub-and-grill.business.site/ anyone heard of it? (counting house is **** btw)
Seeing as the transfer window is still open, I might crack open a few cans on the forecourt of our favourite Leicester Esso Garage, see if there is any transfer talk going down or if Troy swings in for 500 Ginsters....
We'll be in this one - promised to make an exception to let 4cyclones in (don't usually allow kids) and seems like good cheap food inc Mexican and decent beers... http://firebugbar.net
I’ll be in the cricket pavilion over the road having a drink beforehand if any of you lot want a fight.
The only easy prediction is that we will be talking about bad referring decisions by the end of it. Lee Probert!s in charge, so a bit pointless playing the match really.
Looks alright that. How much is a pint in there and are home fans welcome? We won't be wearing our Watford strips. I would like to pass on the bashing.
Probert will screw us over but we'll probably be a couple of goals down by the time he gives Leicester a penalty and sends one of our lot off. Silva to get the chop after a heavy defeat though so it's not all bad news.
£3.50. Much easier to get served in there than the Symphony bar on Filbert Street. Get in before 2 and grab a table. There’s some right ****wits stood outside usually so don’t give yourselves away.
Cheers. You heard of this prince of punjab pub and grill? Is it as good as it is in my dreams? . http://prince-of-punjab-pub-and-grill.business.site/
I haven’t but the curry and tandoori places in the city are generally brilliant. And what a website, great advert for the place....
Hard to see anything other than a defeat in this one. Think it will be a repeat of the 0-3 under Wally.
Silva will look sulky, pouty and bored. Coincidentally this will be our midfield. Puel will sound like a French version of Bob Harris. We will lose. I will take it out on Welwyn in our match on Sunday and curse in ancient tongues whilst thrashing myself about the head with my 'Pocket Oxford Classical Greek Dictionary'.
We went to the New Road Inn on Welford Road last season - a pub combined with an Indian restaurant. Excellent and cheap food, about 10 mins walk from the ground. I reckon 3-0 to Leicester - 2 from crosses after the full back has been left for dead (you can choose whether its Janmatt or Zeegelar or both) and a mess up from a corner.
Was is this obsession with you guys and power? Only i see that its the Electricity sports cricket club. Then there's those electricity towers next to the King POWER Stadium (i guess that's where the cricket club name comes from?) and nearby ive just noticed the National Gas Museum. Are you power mad or what!
Well my feeling on the game is that we need to start racking up points and plot a course for 6th or 7 th place this season. It’s a home game against an out of form team and no one is missing apart from Morgan who looks shot to bits. Mahrez is in fine fettle and looks happy, we’ve finally got a central midfield and a manager who finally has us set up to keep the ball for more than 4 seconds at a time. 2-0 to Watford it is then.
That place looks like a right dump, but chicken curry+rice+naan bread for 4.99 on match days sounds decent. Closer than the prince of punjabi too. Leicester is not the prettiest town but it's an ace away I reckon.
Space Museum too with one of those big rocket fuselage things in it. I think the long term plan is to cause enough global warming to trigger a sea level rise to flood London and wipe out half of our competition for a top 4 spot.
We've been up there a few times now with our Aethel at uni there and the more I see of it, the more I like it. Big enough to have city facilities, small enough not to have too many city problems. Nice and multicultural and mixed. If we have time, we'll also be checking out this free museum, which I keep trying to get to and running out of time. The 1950s street scene thing they have sounds interesting... https://www.leicester.gov.uk/leisur...ms-and-historic-venues/newarke-houses-museum/
Yeah it gets a bad rep but I much prefer it to larger cities like leeds. I'll be swerving that museum as I'll be off my ****, but it does sound good. seems they have some sort of a trenches exhibit too (see photo at end). I'm not sure if this forum is populated by a load of racists or not, but I love being around that culture. I used to live in tooting, restaurants from the subcontinent everywhere you looked and a real vibrant atmosphere. Our neighbours were bangladeshi and they'd invite us in for tea quite often. They'd serve us lovely curries full of flavour from a huge pot they'd constantly have on the go on the hob. I think they just continuously topped it up as the days went by. Happier days. Trenches exhibit:
Leicester is a poor away day. Awful pubs, generic stadium, home fans that spend longer staring at you than what’s happening on the pitch. If Silva doesn’t start with Deeney AND Gray then I’m out.
No match thread? Absence of arrant speculation on the scoreline & the Architectural Digest section are leaving a hole in my Friday pm.
