That means naff all though. Richarlison popped up from nowhere with no prior reporting and the deal was done within a day.
Are there anyone worth a shout at the Argentine club Zarate has gone to. I saw that left back that was in high regard has signed for Ajax. Not sure what club he was at Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Christ, he's so much better a finisher than Gray it's not even funny. Not that we didn't know that already, but here's our reminder.
I have fallen in luv all over again! We won't get Afobe and I don't want Markovic (l know he's a winger) so an in-form Vydra is as good as anyone out there at the moment. We know he can play almost telepathically with Deeney. We know it makes sense as he surely fits the Silva specification.
Just for a bit of balance Andre Gray looks like a great finisher in this YouTube video too, just like Vydra it was in the championship though.
Fair, obviously it was not just the video I was basing it on, though! Not that I was implying he should be a target; he might work in the prem now at this age, he might not, but he's unlikely to be the instant step up we're looking for, and it's not like Derby would consider selling him anyway given their current position.
Personally I'd like to see if we can get Penaranda and Hernandez into the UK / in the squad instead of spending vast sums on mediocre players like Salami and Afobe Richarlison has shown if you are good enough you are old enough
That was Tagliafico I mentioned in the other transfer thread. Independiente is the club a team that has won the Sudamericana Cup and is studded with several promising youngsters. Franco, Bustos and Barco being the three other leading lights as players. Tagliafico has now unfortunately signed for Ajax. I think we have missed out on a player that is also a leader and a calm personality on the field in addition to his excellent technical skills as a fullback. We should be looking at Bustos as well. If we could get Richie from under Ajax's noses there was no reason given the horror show we have as fullbacks (Femenia aside) we should not have gone for Tagliafico. Just six million euros as well. Peanuts really in a position we desperately need quality.
Velez who reached the Libertadores final this year have in recent years an extremely positive and growing academy. Players to look out for are Santiago Caseres, Lucas Robertone and another fullback and youngster Brian Cufre son of former fullback and international Leandro (one of the mass brawl in the 2006 quarterfinal v Germany at the World Cup). Coached by Gabriel Heinze who knew a thing about the position. Maxi Romero the eighteen year old striker has already moved to PSV.
Not too shabby today. Rather put the Going Down-ogled Arse wonderkids in the shade. How much longer will they tolerate the Wenger Vanity Project?
This 18 year old led the line for Forest today against Arsenal and tore them a new one in a man-of-the-match performance. I know Mertesacker was playing, but the rest of the defence was solid. Brereton's hold-up play, touch and work-rate was very impressive - better than anything we've seen from our forwards this season. Worth a punt ?
Kept an eye on this lad last couple of seasons when forest have been on telly , I rate him as a very useful player .if forest fans are to be believed he is a consistent performer.
My Forest-supporting pal reckons there's a lot more to his game than just scoring. Yesterday's performance seemed to back that up.
One for the future but both times we have played Bristol City I have been impressed with their LB Lloyd Kelly, still only 19, ran the whole match and put in 2-3 really good crosses. Lucky for us his team mates didn't manage to get on the end of them.
Whilst the South American market is a fairly untapped source, I can’t help but think Richarlison was an anomaly in terms of Work Permits. Can’t see us signing another 1-2 from there and getting the same success. Hence why we send players to other clubs. These players you mention may well be good enough - but I’d be highly surprised if the Home Office allowed us the same grace again.
Not saying we should but wonder is Francis Coquelin on our Radar... Has regularly looked out of his depth in the Arsenal midfield but he's been decent on occaision. Looks to be on his way out the door at Arsenal.
My suggestion for this transfer window is... sign someone. Or at least try to. This window is ticking along at about one new rumour every couple of days, it's not what we're accustomed to. We should be linked to dozens of foreign fancy dans by now, with people on here using either FIFA scores or their bizarre in-depth knowledge of minor European leagues to get excited/rubbish them. What do we want? Rumours! When do we want them? Now!
How about Oumar Niasse, saw somewhere Everton willing to let go of him and would cost about £12m, played for hull under Silva so he knows the player a bit.
A bit hot and cold but looks decent when given a run. Trouble is you don't really get a run of games under Silva, just ask Andre Gray.
Davy Klaassen. Been absolutely ruined at Everton. Former Ajax captain, great age, loads of experience and scores goals from midfield. Not a fat Sam player. Cheeky loan with a view.
Yes! The shaven headed response to hair loss has surely had its day. Let's see a return of the Combe-over! Was there ever a more memorable sight in football than Ralph Coates (Spurs) running down the wing with his length of side-hair flapping in the wind? Come on Rooney - it's your chance to become a style icon
