Rumour that we are in for him according to https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...erland-midfielder-linked-with-move-to-watford He sounds like a clone of Capoue.
From the couple of games I've seen him play he's the opposite of Capoue - he's got loads of energy, is positive but is a bit of a headless chicken. He rushes everything, rather than Capoue who slows everything down and sucks the life out of the game.
Could become a very good player with the right coach and good players around him. We desperately need energy in the middle. It's a yes from me.
Yeah buts its clearly a back up option, seeing as Chalobah wont be back for a month at least and our only back up to Cleverley and Doucoure is an ageing Watson or awful Capoue who may well be sold.
I think that's exactly what we need. Our form has tailed off when we haven't been able to field a central midfield capable of playing the style Silva wants. We're either left with Doucouré and Cleverley battling against three opponents, or playing Capoue and Watson who slow the game down so much our style of play is unrecognisable.
And if we lost Doucoure or Cleverley for any amount of time we'd be even more up shyte creek. Presumably no Hector Herrera then?
You're right that we need a striker most of all. In nearly every game, since the matches started coming thick and fast, we retreat and lose the midfield towards the end of the match. We desperately need more energy in the middle of the park off the bench. We cannot maintain Silva's high energy press for longer than 70 minutes, and the current replacements aren't good enough. Cheap too, as they have an owner trying to flog assets.
I think Herrera has been playing well and even captaining Porto this season so I can't see him leaving that stability in a World Cup year.
A bit of a mixed bag from Sunderland fans, some say he's terrible with poor attitude but others think that he is their best player: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/n’dong.1410704/
Yes, but it might have been a childhood dream to turn out for the golden boys, or to have his wages doubled.
Not worried about whether he has a diddy ndong or not. It's the size of the balls that's important. We're in desperate need of players that actually have some.
Picked up by the wobby, £8m http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ets_in_talks_with_Sunderland_over_midfielder/
Club suppliers the players with balls m8. Like you get pens and mobile from your employer. It wouldn't work to rely on the players. What if there was a game, everyone turned up to watch, but no player brought a ball?
Then it's an even bigger yes from me. You can't deny that Diakite brought some entertainment to games.
Anything's better than Capoue on the bench so it's a yes from me. And from what I have seen, he's definitely athletic and was one of the better players in that awful season they got relegated (not saying much)
No thanks. We need fullback reinforcements, a striker and a winger. Once Hughes and Chalobah are back and Pereyra is fully fit we will be okay in midfield.
I agree in principle but have a sneaking feeling we won't see Chalobah for months still, Hughes wasn't supposed to be out that long and yet there's no return date and Pereyra is breaking down so frequently I worry that he won't ever play more than a couple of games in a row.
