He just came back. Played a couple of games for the u23 squad to get his fitness up. Don't know if he played the full 90 or not in those games though, but I will go look now.

It was totally a tongue and cheek comment though, there's no way we would get him.

Just checked - he played 58 mins on 21/8/17 against Swansea and 90 on 25/8/17 against Spurs.

 

Not a chance with Moreno. He's started 4 out 5 games for Liverpool and looks totally rejuvenated this season. Klopp has publicly praised him as well.

 

Can I please have the heads up on what I am expected to do when we play WBA. Do I boo Nyom or Gibbs or both? Is it safest to just boo the whole WBA team?

I think you are entirely and purposely missing the point.

Ashley Young is not a natural full back, that is a fact. He may be semi-capable of playing there and may have done so on rare occasions, but if you honestly think he's someone we should be looking at as genuine competition to Holebas then I honestly have to question your sanity.

Here's a outside of the box idea - sign an actual left back to compete for the left back spot and stop desperately obsessing over re-signing ageing, ex players who aren't even particularly suitable for the position we're looking to fill.

I'm only suggesting there may have been more to this than money. I realise wages are very likely to be the true reason, especially as it appears we were the ones to bail on the deal, and if WBA are prepared to meet his demands then fair play to them. However, everyone is treating it as fact and blurting out the tried "greed over playing/prospect/England/blah". He actually may view WBA as a more attractive proposition. Shocking I know.

If you were Arsenal's reserve left back and Watford offered you £45k a week and West Brom offered you £75k a week you would sign for West Brom.
