Having listened to a few of their songs, I think saying they 'sing' is pushing it.

Awwww bless their little cotton socks:

"Earlier this summer, Sweet revealed just how much Luton have raked in from Gray's departure, making it a very profitable transfer for the club.
He said: "We've kind of banked that anyway. Without taking too many risks, we knew Burnley would stay up. We're up to nearly £2m on Andre now, so it's been a terrific move for us and a terrific move for him."

Maybe, but between these four walls I think Grey could prove to be a real Cannonball, its in his DNA

Im liking how all the haters are flailing around trying to turn up the new reason to hate little old Watford. Front runners at the moment, now weve signed exciting English players and a decent media darling manager are as follows:

    1. May as well disband our academy as we don't bring players through
    2. the old change of manager chestnut

Agree. If you have to edit a statistic to try and support your conclusion, you probably don't have much of a point to begin with.

Luton fans NOT happy, repeat NOT happy, about this at all. Still trying to delude themselves that they may be entitled to some sort of minuscule sell-on fee with some of the finest mental gymnastics the internet has ever seen.

It's absolutely sensational to see those mutants scrambling around at our feet, desperate to pick up some of the crumbs from our banquet.

A quick look at his very recent timeline shows him saying Brighton are after Cameron Jerome from Norwich. It's as if they don't want to stay up!!

Yes I have to say I'd be worried if I was a Newcastle/Brighton/Burnley fan due to their lack of strengthening, Jerome was half decent about 5 years ago

Rafa wasn't happy this morning on that Premier League Launch thing. Basically said, we'll do our best but whatever.

Yeah I have a few Newcastle friends that seem to be convinced of a top 8 finish, I think Rafa will find it difficult this season with that sort of pressure but I do think they'll stay up

I don't know why, but I like Newcastle.

The club has a very passionate fan base - does anyone else remember how they sold out the away end on a miserably wet Wednesday (?) night for a league cup (?) match ? They got soaked, but never stopped singing.

Hope they stay up (but not at our expense, obviously).

How have they got to the conclusion they will finish top 8? Is there any logic behind it or is it Leeds type thinking of we're a big club so deserve to be there?

Equally I know some Newcastle fans who think they will struggle as their team is no better than the one that got relegated.

My only concern now is DM where Doucoure and Chalo are very inexperienced and only have Watson as cover. But attack and defence is looking a whole lot stronger though slightly concerned that our FBs are better suited to wing back roles with obvious risks.

Are we not still definitely missing a winger/attacking midfielder, having seen Berghuis go out permanently and solely brought in Richarlison as a replacement? We've suddenly kicked into gear and done some good work, it seems, but attack wise we were woeful for large parts of last season, and we don't expect Richarlison to become a starter producing good numbers straight off the bat, do we? Zarate's still not back in training, and Success is still very raw.

I'm feeling fairly happy about putting money on Newcastle to be relegated at 6/1.

Ridiculous odds for a newly promoted team, with such high expectations.

Edit: I see now most bookmakers are now offering 4/1.

Capoue, Cleverly and Watson can all play there too - I think we'll be alright. Maybe a re-think if either Doucoure or Chalobah were to pick up a long term injury, but at the moment you'll struggle to get anyone to join knowing the competition for that position.

I think we'll make 8th - I realise this makes me delusional but I don't care! Certainly it's not because we are a big club and have any divine right, I just happen to be optimistic for the coming season :)

It's funny looking back now on how Silva started with Sinclair in the last 2 games, he must have known a deal for Gray was in the pipeline and basically used him as a impersonator to allow the team to practice their new system/style

For all the Burnley fans saying he is overrated and they don't need him. A quick little research will tell a different story.

    Burnley 2:0 Liverpool
    Gray 1 goal, 1 assist
    Minus 2 points without him

    Burnley 3:2 Bournemouth
    Gray 1 assist
    Minus 2 points without him

    Burnley 1:0 Boro
    Gray 1 goal
    Minus 2 points without him

    Burnley 4:1 Sunderland
    Gray 3 goals
    Minus 2 points without him

    Arsenal 2:1 Burnley
    Gray 1 goals
    Points don't change

    Swansea 3:2 Burnley
    Gray 2 goals
    Points don't change

    Palace 0:2 Burnley
    Gray 1 goal
    Points don't change

    Burnley 1:2 West Ham
    Gray 1 assist
    Points don't change

    Total 9 goals, 3 assists

Without Gray Burnley would have finished with 8 points less last season. Resulting in them finishing on 32 points and being relegated.

Unless the player in his place had scored. Or had scored chances he missed in other games gaining them points.

    Just saying.
