Money has to come in so things can walk in the Orange trees. The tricolor board expects to receive $ 23 million this week for the sale of Richarlison to Watford. With cash in hand, Fluminense will be able to pay off debts, such as late image rights with the cast , and advance the search for replacement. The main target is the striker Robinho, from Figueirense .

Edit: Nope, according to another article that's the value of the 50% we're paying them. The other half is to his third party owners.

The Pozzos invest in and make money by selling on promising young players. If they think they can sell Richard Lee's son for £30m in 3 years after playing around Europe, the fact he cant play for us wont stop them ! Has Penaranda never been to train in the UK ? Did none of the other Granada youngsters ever come over and train in the UK ?

 

The contention seems to be about whether you're suggesting Richarlison is being signed in the knowledge that he will almost certainly never play for us or whether he's being signed in the expectation that he will but if he can't we'll ship him out.

 

OK. My guess is that they saw him as a good investment who would ideally mature as part of our team but if a WP wasn't forthcoming, could be loaned out elsewhere to develop and increase in value. They wouldn't have bothered applying for a WP if they thought it was certain he would never play for us but they must have accepted there was a risk.
